  1. Send the Q7 to the JFK post office via 150th St Cargo Area... reroute Q6 to the Terminals... So the sign would say Q6 via Sutphin Blvd to JFK Airport Terminal 5 On the very last run of the Q7 which is probably 12:30am Every other bus on the Q6 would go to the post office I think people should have another option besides the AirTran coming from that side of Jamaica Not everyone wants to go up on Hillside to catch the Q3 or is near Farmers to catch that So the Q6 would be good candidate for a reroute
  2. I live in Queens as well hence the handle "JFK Depot,.. Walking distance from that particular depot and I do frequent Parsons Archer like I'm sure you do So I see the same things you see Just to put that out there
  3. Here's alil history on Queens NGs Jamaica started out with 4400s and 4600s This around the time QV had demos of LFS 3G and XDs When the XDs and 3Gs left Jamaica sent over the 4400s and kept the newer 4600s (Mind you Jamaica NEVER wanted Orion's to begin with but had NO choice but to take them for the time being) That brings us to the current day The Orion V's are dropping like flies and because Casey Stengel had an abundance of them It made sense for Jamaica to send over the 4600s permanently instead of the daily run ons they were doing So right NOW it seems as if priority is given to Garages with Orion V's over RTSs at the moment And being that Jamaica is good with RTS they can wait alil longer while TA sorts out this Orion issue But moving forward trust Jamaica will receive LFS's I wouldn't be surprised if they did send that earlier order that was taken from them and sent to ENY... Someway somehow I feel that later order might be tapped into and 8090-8125 or whatever that last bus is will go back to Jamaica And ENY will end up with 8300s and 8400s smh
  4. The way this order looks and priority for those Orion V's gone... Queens just might be last... Jamaica as much as they need those Novas will have to wait alil while longer while they assort this Orion V problem And the fact that Jamaica does well with keeping RTS on the road helps the situation right now so for now they will continue to get dumped on until this Orion issue is fixed... On another note... Arent ALL ofJamaica's 4600s suppose to go CS ? I'm guessing they had to slow that swap down due to the fact they probably had NO RTS to send BACK to Jamaica for NGs
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if they start moving them once they actually start to deliver JA's actual order So I'm sure some 1999 RTS would leave out to ENY possibly 51xx's (the ones remaining haven't left Queens yet) and some 49xx's probably would go Along with the scraping of 1996 RTS's Not to mention the rest of the 46xx's that are waiting to go over to CS.. When things are said and done JA will be damn near brand new????????
  6. Just wait till those UES riders complain...
  7. NICE isn't so NICE... NICE has went downhill since the split from MTA... And if ANYONE out in Nassau was smart they would've fought to SAVE MTA Long Island Bus... That Mangano guy is an idiot Blame him for why NICE isn't so NICE
  8. The early demise of cars (R40/40M R38 R44) really messed up things and now with the R32's not holding up as well as they thought Transit has put themselves into real problem moving forward at least in the B division... It was a good idea to swap the R32s for R160s but they should've done that years ago and made it permanent instead of summer help The C being NTT speeds up the trip but then it also causes bunching... There's not too much that can be done to fix the issue really... The only thing I can think of is really using the R32's on the M. It can run the special roll sign and have it signed up for Metropolitan Av to 71st Forest Hills Try to keep as many 32s ON Queens Blvd as possible C can stay ALL NTT... J continues to be mixed (143,160,42) I also feel they should run R68's on the A but that's my own opinion Off topic tho I heard there will be a swap of 160s between Coney Island and Jamaica I'm hearing (9200-9800) for what's in CI (8700-9100) How true is that ?
  9. Westchester would take ALL the 142a's Mosholu has and in return they would have 62a's That would make Mosholu 142/62a and Westchester 142a/62a How mixed up is that really All your doing is spreading those 62a's around more and send more NTT back to the 6 7590-7655 is what's left at Westchester currently So I say send them Mosholu's 7656-7810 For 62a's Makes sense to me
  10. that swap between ENY and JA is merely speculation until 8090 and up are seen on a JA route I wouldn't be surprised if it DID happen tho being that ENY fleet age is very new so if it did it would be to average out the fleet age
  11. IMO there should be a swap between Mosholu and Westchester for 142a's and 62a's Since Mosholu is all NTT swapping out those 142a's for 62a's wouldn't be a bad idea and that brings more 142a's back to the 6 I'm sure those UES riders are not too happy with 62a's returning to the 6
  12. I've posted on this in the past... Before my hiatus But like I said before Q114 is coming soon "Converted bus route could help struggling commuters in Rosedale Relief may be coming to some Rosedale and Far Rockaway straphangers who have spent years suffering through long and crowded commutes. The MTA wants to create a new, limited-stop bus line — the Q114 — to connect subway riders in Jamaica to those far-flung Queens neighborhoods. "We have the worst commute," said City Councilman Donovan Richards (D-Far Rockaway). "You can almost get to Florida by plane faster than you can get to Manhattan." Changes could come as early as Aug. 31 if all goes smoothly at a hearing planned for next Monday at the MTA’s headquarters in Manhattan. Bus riders currently use the Q111 and the Q113, which has a local and a limited-stop line from Guy R. Brewer Blvd. into Far Rockaway. The new Q114 route would replace the Q113 local with fewer stops between Jamaica and Rosedale to help hasten the trip. "It takes me two hours to get to work and two hours to get home," said Jacqueline Campbell, a Rosedale Civic Association member who commutes from Rosedale to Manhattan. She sent the MTA a petition from "fed-up" commuters in May.. "The buses are not just crowded — there are just not enough buses going to Rosedale," she said. Campbell said the proposed changes will ease some of the problems but the MTA needs to do more. She had included several suggested route improvements with her petition. “This doesn’t help people like me who live in the heart of Rosedale by Valley Stream,” she said. Campbell is hoping to attend the July 21 hearing and lobby for additional service. http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/queens/new-bus-line-trip-rosedale-rockaway-easier-article-1.1866521 "
  13. Smh I said this the other day... Queens Division does so much shuffling around If 1 depot doesn't have a bus they WILL use a bus from another depot to make up that run I stopped posting on here because people (I won't say names because they are THAT lame) go hard like they get paid to post on here When I clearly know what I'm talking about So I just sit back and laugh at em at this point lmao
  14. Lmao I just laugh at this point... Smh Like I said before the Q113 WILL be SBS.. They are gonna change route too... NO more Snake Road... But y'all know more than I do so this is why I just don't post and laugh All the Q111 routes make sense Those are simply run for those who don't get enough hours in One of those Q111 might be transformed into the new route Q114 (I would say the Farmers One)
  15. Who's we ????? Unless you work for transit LIKE I Do your information is mere speculation I have friends that work in Baisley Park Depot.. We ALL talk when we link up and what not... And that was an internal discussion in the depot Q113 will be SBS and they will create a Q114 route My guess since I don't work in that depot is it will probably happen once they receive there Artics Simple as that smh
  16. Q114 New route to Baisley Park I would guess in the Fall.. My friend over there told me they really are gonna SBS the Q113... Q114 will be a Guy R Brewer Route I just haven't heard where it's southern terminal will be yet When I hear more on it I'll post more
  17. A lot of swapping goes on in the Queens Division... I've some QV 93xx's on the Q3 at times... A CS OG07 on Q3... QV takes our LFS's when they are short... See I'm NOT on the road during the day so I couldn't speak for the daytime But I do recall from time to time seeing a 51xx or 49xx and even sometimes a 96 Nova doing that Q44 tripper But I'm not out doing much fanning when I'm off I'm usually sleeping which is why I don't post as much
  18. Jamaica has the Q44 tripper.. I work in the depot I know for sure
  19. So they set it off... It will be boro wide soon enough Whoever has extra will send them out Smh tonite is gonna be ugly They HAD this problem in the 80s with the Grumman 870... Those frames were NO good which forced them to overhaul Blitzs and whatever else they had until the RTS came in and shut the show down lol
  20. Those 07CNGs to CP I highly doubt that would happen.. For C40s at that NO That would make JGs fleet age too new and TA wouldn't do that... If anything they would probably swap some with WF That makes more sense... 75xx's and 76xx's for some 77xx's and 78xx's to even out mileage.. That's just my opinion but anything is likely to happen when you deal with Transit.. So the day someone or myself see an 07 in service for CP is when we can speculate that a swap has occurred
  21. They were aware of that but at the same time what was there to replace them ????? You can't retire things and NOT have anything to put back in its place That's halfassed if you ask me... All the shifting in the world going on right now will continue until the new orders come in... They need 40footers just as bad as they need Artics IMO they should've sent JFK the first batch of LFSA's really It wouldn't make sense to send them D60HFs considering the fact that they don't know Artics anyway I would've felt more comfortable with giving them newer Artics just knowing that the MDBF would've been better than older D60HFs
  22. There's a serious bus shortage NOT just an Artic shortage but overall bus shortage on 40footers and 60footers So there are times where you will see a 40footer on an Articulated Route And this problem won't go away until that new order comes in and kinda eases the crunch alil... The TA shot themselves in the foot when they retired too many buses prematurely and then turned around and realized they actually needed them smh A lot of those Orion's didn't have to go so soon and same for RTS They also shot themselves in the foot when they sent JFK those Artics (1000's and those 5400's) knowing that they never had them before and they weren't the same work horses they used to be So sending them back to the Bronx was the only option since retirement isn't an option right now.... TA can't afford to retire anything right now unless there's something immediately there to replace it
  23. What scrapped this idea ????? It's the easier fix really I also wonder why they haven't ran them on the Q60 yet ? Is it something with the Bridge ? Allow I spoke to one of my buddy's that drive for JFK and to my surprise they don't get any pay differential with the Artics smh
