1. My class is road posting the next 3 weeks starting next week!! Fingers crossed, im hoping and praying none of us get any violations!! Im sure we will be slow also, but hopefully not so slow that trains are backed up behind me!! My goal tho is to be safe and accurate with signals and station stops
2. I was quoting just fine about two weeks ago....now when i try to quote, it doesnt work the same. Idk what happened.
3. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="kevinetics" data-cid="639094" data-time="1359592930">
Not to hijack this thread but how is the parking, in general, around the all locations where training is held? Just wondering because after making it past processing, I want to know if I have to take the subway or drive.

Parking is ok at most locations in the A division, not sure about the B. One thing to keep in mind tho is that if you're late due to traffic, an accident or anything to do with your car, that will be all on you and there is no tolerance for that. Now if you're late because of train trouble, bring them the number of the train car you're in and if it checks out that the train was really delayed, you will.be excused

5. That was us, TA19, at 241 last night with tss Cox and Boot
6. I wouldnt mind getting a little extra training! As RTOMan said and as ive been hearing, ATS is serious. Its very easy to make a mistake and with ATS they can monitor just about everything in the A division. Took our signal test/practical today....I'm proud to say we all passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="mediccjh" data-cid="635897" data-time="1358890624">
Midterm review today at 38 St Yard. It was way too effing cold, and the heat in the Schoolcar trailer died.

Good luck on your Signal Test. How was Yard Posting? We start Friday.

Yard posting was a great experience. You'll get to see the way some seasoned operators operate, sometimes.by rule, but 90% of them have their own way to do things. Everyone I worked with was very eager to help and teach me anything I needed to know. Overall it was great and I got a lot of practice on the trains and on sitting on my ass in the crew rooms!!!
8. last day of yard posting today, back to school car schedule tomorrow! Signal test on Friday...
9. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="mediccjh" data-cid="633764" data-time="1358459746">

Simulator today. Here goes nothing.

"You have got to learn WHY things work on a Starship." -Admiral James T. 10. R32 are the old trains the use on the C line???
11. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="trainman" data-cid="632674" data-time="1358258597">
How will they find the phone numbers of all your previous jobs??? Sounds a bit ridiculous to me. Not saying your lying.

You have to list it on the 21 page form they give you to fill out. If you omit any employment from the past 10 years to now or lie about it, you will probably be disqualified from the hiring process.
12. Ran into one of the new A division school car classes today at 240 yard with TSS Taylor and another tss. Feels good to know me and my class now have some senority..lol!! If anyone on here is in that class, if Taylor is your regular TSS you'll be good!! He's very intelligent and knows literally everything about trains. We had him for a week when one of our tss's was on vaca. I love my tss's, wouldnt trade them for anything! Practicing more cuts and adds/preparing for yard movement tomorrow....first yard practical on Monday!!!
13. Got a big wake up call today. Took a quiz and got one question wrong because i forgot one word....STOP!!! Made realize i really need to be more careful and study more
14. Wow, that sucks that two people r gone already. We have our practical in a couple weeks as well. Congrats on passing
15. Lol....that must have been an interesting experience!! We're flagging tomorrow. Kinda looking forward to it. I think its gonna be a bit scary and fun all at the same time!!!
16. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. God bless all!
17. I know you're not in the field yet...my class didnt get to the field for two weeks after we started due to Sandy.
18. I give you guys in the B lots of credit. Thats alot of equipment y'all have to learn...at least alot compared to us in the A!! Is everyone catching on ok??
19. Welcome aboard!!!(look at me talking like I have years in when I only have a month..lol) I'm glad all is going well so far! Who's your tss's at the school? If you get Ricky, he is very very knowledgeable!!! He really knows his stuff. Be prepared to learn a lot. School car can be alot of fun, but you have to make sure you read and learn your stuff. Anything you dont understand, ask questions about it!!! Have fun guys and gals. By the way, how many people in the class?? Just curious
20. Prepared a train for yard movement today and also did some cuts and adds, preparing for our first yard practical which is less than one month away! My class is doing well so far so im sure we'll all pass, but realizing its so close is a bit nerve wracking!! I picked up on just about all the signals meanings, but learning the meanings word for word is a bit of a task...I'll get it tho
21. Lmaooo....y'all are crazy, scaring the possible newbies...lol
22. 62's are actually really cool. I didn't think I'd like them at first, but they're really not so bad at all
