The Bx90, Shuttle bus that's occurring just for this week due to track replacement on the Esplande has buses out of these depots: Manhattanville, Fresh Pond, Gun Hill, West Farms, Casey Stengel and MCH for now.
All the OA depots helped out in this shuttle, plus a few TA depots like Gleason and QV. It's no different than the last shuttles that ran for the 5 line in the area.

8379, 8395; 9850 Kingsbridge to Manhattanville
8188 Yukon to Caslteton
The KB units were sent back.
Side note, the Xcelsiors on loan at Gun Hill are to supplement the Bx90 shuttle bus that is in service until next Monday. Trains are suspended between Dyre Ave & E 180th St all week. Note that the loaned units are not restricted to the shuttle.

UPDATE: Flushing bound platforms will be closed on May 6th until Q1 2025 😒 Crazy……. should be done in 6 months not another 11 month delay
Pretty sure you and many others would have complained if this was a rush job instead.

3500 JFK to Gershow Recycling Corporation in Long Island
4393 LaGuardia to Gershow Recycling Corporation in Long Island
4168 JFK to Eastchester Scrap
So why are people suddenly reporting scrap buses ending up in the recycling plant?

Also from the Southern Division, 19136 looks to be back at Newton Avenue. It is currently on the 409. It spent about a year down the 42 Freeway at Turnersville ( Washington Twp).
Same goes for 19143, the other Newton unit that was loaned to Washington.

so is BP repairing 4052?
No idea. The accident was this morning so just wait a bit for someone with the actual info to come forward with it.

Same, These NGs at baisley are nothing but surplus buses
They are essential to the operations there as they only have 34 Novas there, so service would be extremely screwed if the 12 Orions were to go at once with no replacements.

Don't you mean FR? JFK doesn't have any express routes assigned.
They also store the coaches at JFK.

When was 1200 scrapped?
I still have 1200 in service at KB.
1201, 1205, 1212, 1224, 1246, 1248-1249 & 1271 were at ECH Scrap.
1200 was also at Eastchester scrap since April of last year.

Doesn’t seem to be the case when the MTA is adding them randomly on the , the pilot test should’ve occured on just the original 3 stations.
That's too small of a testing pool to determine the effectiveness of the barriers. Not all stations were created equal so it's better to test it out on multiple stations to see where the barriers could be most effective.

is 16001 the only 16 series cruiser left?
Looks like it. IIRC, 02 is used for training while 03 was lost to an accident.

Sad news everyone, 34th Street Hudson yards will receive platform barriers, I just saw the marks on the floor, this is a terrible idea since the station will look so off, and there is no reason to add barriers there at all😒
Even with the slow speeds, people can be hit and/or killed by a heavy slow moving train. Some people are stupid enough to push a person onto the tracks at random even if its at a terminal.

4630 is LGA...
That user was not referring to where the bus currently operates. They're arguing that 4630 was the highest numbered 2009 model of the NG hybrids.
As for the debate at hand, I remember TTMG and other older rosters categorizing the 4600s at JFK as 2010 models in their old roster pages for years. Most sites, including mine, followed that piece of info for years. Now TransitMan is stating that only 4656-onwards are the only 2010 models. It would be nice to see a definitive clarfication, though that in itself is a rather small and somewhat insignificant thing to argue about.

1020 is a 2017 XN60, it’s currently on the legal hold at Eastchester scrap where it will most likely never see service again.
I wouldn't go ahead and say that its definitely retired. Several buses that sat in that area of the lot came back years down the line. 6372 and 4137 come to mind and even 5656 when it had two halfs of different units put together.

So the NJT board voted unanimously in favor of the fare increase. The 15% fare hike will start on July 1st, with a possible 3% increase each year starting in 2025. The Flexpass discount is also set to be eliminated if the fare hike goes through.

Um, dosent the Rockaway shuttle on summer weekends run opto?
It's a full-length train for the Rockaway Park shuttle during the summer (Both train op and conductor present) unlike normal Shuttle service where it's a 5-car OPTO operation.

So why is the and Lefferts Shuttle the only remaining services to use five car sets late nights?
Would it not save money to just keep them as 10 car sets?
OPTO. The costs would go up with more cars out for longer and having a conductor working the line instead of having the train operator do double-duty with a shortened train which is done on those shuttles and weekend trains.

Philadelphia Transit Vehicles tracker is complete fried. Many incorrect tracking units like 4023 on the 74, 21271 on the 5, and 5898 on the 502, all at PABT.
They don't have the link to the tracker on their site so I wonder how and why you're still using it.

Hi! I applied for two bus operator positions on the MTA website. When I check the status of my applications, under the Company column, one application is NYT and the other is MAB.
Can someone please explain the difference between the two? Thanks!
You applied for positions at MTA New York City Transit & MTA Bus Company. NYCT are the bus depots in Brooklyn, Queens, & Staten Island. MTA Bus Company is the former private bus operators. I would go to the Transit Employment section of the Transit Forums here: https://www.nyctransitforums.com/forum/19-transit-employment/ People like @+Young+ should give better explanations regarding this.

It was supposedly a route that ran between Willowbrook Mall and Little Falls if Wikipedia is to be believed.

I don't think 7490 was ever compensated.
The swap was even with 26 Novas going to Jamaica, with 26 Xcelsiors going the other way. Gun Hill ended up losing 7490 to Grand in September.
