4117 and 4646 are retired. The other two are only oos.

    Side note, 4037 is retired. Also, there are 17 OGs left at JFK: 3668, 3675, 3677, 3695, 3698, 3700, 3708, 3713, 3743, 3748, 3751-3752, 3754, 3756, 3762-3763, 3782.

since we are on the topic of 4278. It may make trips to LaGuardia for refueling incase it needs it in order to keep running.

Pretty sure CP can do that in-house. People seem to forget they have their own fleet of DIESEL coaches that they refuel there. Anyone can feel free to correct this.

And what about the 2023-2024 Novas for MTA Bus?

As of right now BP is 73% finished with its deliveries.  JFK/FR Not sure the assignment number but they are up to 40 rn. LG hasn't gotten any Novas yet.

I'm sure the deliveries are slow due to the OGs and NGs still being in service

    Novas delivered so far:

    BP: 8964-8966, 8970, 8972, 8975, 8977-8979, 8983, 8985, 8987-9005, 9007-9009 (33*)

    FR/JK: 9010, 9012-9014, 9017, 9019-9020, 9022, 9024-9025, 9028-9031, 9033-9046, 9048-9049, 9051, 9053, 9060-9061, 9063-9064, 9067, 9070, 9074, 9080 (40)

*Asterisk as it was reported that 9006 was delivered but it has yet to be spotted.

I disagree. The Meadowlands Line needs high capacity MUs to be successful in general. There are enough events there in general to make them viable.

Well whatever's the case, I would of been ok with the proposal of bringing a new railcar had they planned any changes as soon as the world cup was awarded. The final wasn't even awarded until Sunday. I think bringing in new equipment from a buildier that NJT is not familiar with is a bad idea if an early 2026 deadline is put as things can go south during the tournament. If its for future-proofing after the world cup, then maybe.

I recommended that NJT get Stadler KISS battery units for the Meadowlands service to both Stadler and NJT. NJT doesn't want units that can be only used on one division, but I responded that there is enough density to get two sets of cars for both divisions. In addition, I recommended that the cars have PERIMETER seating temporarily installed for the World Cup and switch to normal seating afterwards. Stadler was not sure that they could meet the deadline for the World Cup. I think a Buy America waiver for the first 40-50 battery cars might solve this problem. NJT will need an MU to handle the volume and turnaround times for the World Cup.

Nah, its too late to invest in a railcar that is so unfamiliar to NJ Transit and with less than two years to order and prep workers for it. Not to mention, MetLife is only hosting 8 games: June 13, 16, 22, 25, 27, 30th and July 5th & 18th (Final). A system like that would be pretty useless after that as the tournament is only 39 days long.

As I have stated long term loans. They aren't the same as the daily LGA loans CP receives. 4119, 4278, 4601 have been at the depot for more than a week now hence why I say long-term loan so as it is not to be confused with the daily LGA short-term loans.

This is more akin to the long-term loans Tuskegee Airmen have from other Bronx and Manhattan depots.

#3677 is NOT retired. I happened to ride it yesterday on the Q41.

The surge in posts where people report seeing the bus without the omny readers are irking me a bit. I'd wait until the bus is towed out of the depot before reporting, but that's just me.

  8. The (MTA) and the city really need to do something about the homeless and drug addicts hanging out on the edges of stations on the (1) line. 181st is pretty bad with some making it their own personal bathroom and the needles that keep piling up on the tracks. I feel for the train operators that manage to get a sniff of the station ends.

I mean like they are only the FIRST LOCAL BUSES to be delivered to mta bus not like that matters amiright?💀💀

Not sure what you're trying to get at here when the guy was only asking if those two units were still in service or not.
