  1. I know this is a fantasy map so logic is out the window, but it would be 5000x easier and more likely to actually happen if the was extended to Burke&WPR rather than Gun Hill&WPR, since the tail tracks are pointed right at that route. A bigger stretch, but still a reasonable possibility would be to extend the Concourse line east along Burke Ave, and then under Gun Hill when the two streets intersection, and then have another station underneath the Gun Hill station (with another intermediate station at Boston Rd), and then continue it either up Bartow Ave to Co Op City, or to Pelham Bay Park, underground from the station. If the were to get extended to Co-Op/Pelham, then I could see the becoming an all day extension to Bedford Park, with the running peak direction express service all day. And bobtehpanda, 4th Ave is NOT a straight ave. There is a curve right at Prospect Expressway.
  2. The R68's have neither 59 or 125 on the rollsigns. They'll just be kept as 205 St. The R46's can be signed for ANY destination. It should say COLUMBUS CIRCLE / 59 ST / 8 AV LINE
  3. It's running for customers coming from the , who will walk right past the to get to the because it's EXPRESS to Grand Central...... If this is anything like the last Concourse Fast Track, no matter how many times I announce that 59 St (or 125 last time) will be our last stop and I announce every possible transfer to get to the , when we arrive at 59 St everyone's gonna look at me like I'm crazy when I kick them off the train.
  4. It also isn't at Lenox Ave, but a block over at Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd. So why not 149-Powell Terminal? 182-183 no longer has an open exit to 183rd St and 163-Amsterdam no longer has an exit to 163 St, so should we change those names too? Heck, even W4 St only has an exit to West 4th if you take the elevator!
  5. So who is psyched for the Central Park West fasttrack??? The stations dept apparently are, since they hung up the GO posters over 2 weeks early!
  6. We all know what UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE means..... If trains can stop at Fordham, they can stop at those stations as well.
  7. Tomorrow is the last day you'll be able to use Melrose and Tremont station. They're closing down on Monday and getting replaced with shuttle buses to Fordham! I predict these shuttle buses are going to disappear as well, and eventually riders will be told to take the Bx41 SBS (possibly with some kind of free transfer deal made with NYCT) and Melrose & Tremont will become the next Morrisania and Claremont Park.
  8. I've never heard of 238 St Yard!!!!!! WHAT IS THAT?
  9. Hey by that logic they might as well stop the R188 plan and put the R142A's back on the ..........
  10. I got caught in the middle of that mess tonight. S/B were going via 6 Ave, S/B getting rerouted via Brighton, and the shuttle service to 36 St kicked in an hour early. Took my about 40 minutes to get from 9 Av to Grand St.
  11. R46's on the are HARDLY anything new. They always had a couple of them out there, even on weekends. So yeah, you must be unlucky. I remember back when 46's were the majority of the fleet and I was lucky if I happened to catch a R32 or R42!
  12. That wasn't a SWITCH problem at E105......it was a signal problem. A BIG signal problem:
  13. Nah, the customers are just morons. That's nothing new.
  14. Still better than the riders who get off an express rerouted to the local....so they can wait for another express....
  15. I remember back when R143's ran on the on a pretty regular basis...... Are the R160's on the popular enough that the whole train doesn't jump ship anymore whenever an and connect at 14 St?
  16. All layups and put-ins during the week will be done at 95 St, with trains running lite to/from there (usually up to 59 St, and then either wrong rail to 8th Ave and then to the Sea Beach middle to CIY, or else layup on F3 between 36-59), except for the PM rush where 3 sets will go into service at 36 St N/B.
  17. The southern portion is going to be using CIY equipment, so it's always POSSIBLE. More possible on the weekends when they aren't busy being used on the ..... but on weekends they're running full length via the bridge so CIY is only contributing 4 sets. So no, don't count on it.
  18. First out of 95 St going to Court St will be 0521, and then returns to 95 St as the 0600 out of Court. The last one out of 95 St will be the 2249, and returns to 95 St as the 2332 out of Court. 15 minute headways from 0521 until 0558, and then 10 minute headways until 0638, and then 7-8 minute headways until 0856, then 10 minute headways (6's out of 95, 7's out of Court) until 1506, then 7-8 minute headways (the PM put-in's all go into service at 36 St N/B, so they'll be some gaps for the 95-45 portion) until 1914, then 10 minute headways until 2114, then 12 minute headways until shuttle service begins. First out of CTL is 0502. and then returns as the 0600 out of Whitehall (interestingly, this trip is handled by a MIDNIGHT crew who is just starting their day!). Headways are all over the place from 6-12 minutes during morning rush, and then 10 minute headways middays (8's out of CTL, 7's out of Whitehall), and then all over the place again for rush and the evening. Last train out of CTL is the 2229, last out of Whitehall is the 2329.
  19. Congratulations, you're one of the few people on this site that has accepted that a railfan website might POSSIBLY have incorrect information on it! I saw a R68A yesterday. The also occasionally gets an R68A.
  20. The new service signs are up at Dekalb! I was expecting them to go with those black text on white background signs like they usually use for temporary service changes like Smith-9, but they're the regular type. Looks like this is gonna be for the long haul.
  21. Can we please lock this thread? We don't need any of that fantasy chit in here..... *dancing lock*
  22. I remember there was this guy at orientation who was trying to argue with the TSS's about how he HAD to work AMs due to his children, and they flat out told him that he'd better find a different line of work. We never saw him again. Unless you have picked vacation (which does not apply while in schoolcar), don't count on making ANY plans your first year.
  23. Excuse me? The school car program never stopped. It's ongoing as we speak.
