Nobody counts 1502?
I know a couple years ago, it did a trip on the BxM10. I don't understand why they don't run the PBL museum buses. I would love to see 10001 or 275 back in service.

Is it me or 8090 is just on the Q4 so far?
It's been on the other routes at Jamaica. I know it's been on the Q17 and Q30, to name a couple.

So this is a bit wierd, 8999 ENY to GA. It's on the B13 now and I spotted it earlier at WBP. It still has ENY stickers
I saw that bus yesterday around 6:00 P.M at the B38 terminal in Downtown Brooklyn. I thought it was a B25 short turn.

Is the front sign the only one multi colored on the new buses or is that just a test?
It's not a test. All of the new buses will have the Luminator Spectrum sign.

Does anyone know who NICE picked to build the new buses to replace the 2002 Orion V CNGs ?

Yeah, but the units on Staten Island are still in working order (somewhat). They could of giving them another SMS.
The ones on Staten Island are like the R42s, they're barely making it by. Those should have retired when the NYCT ones retired.

Copy copy FP. I really meant to say that it was going to Quill as of 1/4/15. But my thing is that why couldn't they transfer that directly to MCH. Of course politics. In my language (politirix) . Just hope quill has adequate artic equipment for M60SBS.
The MTA doesn't want to open the depot at full capacity.
- Any word to where 126 RTS are going? 5013-5024.
But my guess would be quill or any of the Brooklyn Division depots with exception of JG.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls. I have been quiet because thing have been changing daily. There are lots of new developments within The Department of buses. That means it's time to clean this thread, and move on to the next procurement cycle. 256 Artics, 700 Standard diesels (active options), and 138 CNG's.
It is now a confirmed fact that New York City Transit will take delivery of more Xcelsiors that originally expected. 45 Standards, and 75 Artics are only the beginning.
The CNG order is going to be a major area for the engineering department as the Nova LFS NG is up against the New Flyer XN40. As of Monday November 17, 2014 there is a 70% Chance the next CNG buses will be New Flyer. I personally, am 90% sure they will be XN40's. Mark my words.
I am going to overhaul the BTE thread as most new information on buses will be in detail there. 7090 should be back in service from evaluation and audit in short order. It has been reported that 8090 is now on the way. I an awaiting confirmation as I type.
New York City is on the path to becoming a New Flyer city.

Sometimes I feel like this forum is not as popular as it used to be. I wonder what happened to the days where there was always a new topic started almost everyday. The photo section would have at least two or three people posting per day and so on. Nowadays it has been boring. I don't even have to check the forums like I used to do back in 2011/2012 and pretty much the same topics are there and there is little progression. I hope that changes again. A lot of the new members and a lot of the old members just disappeared from this forum. What caused it to happen?
I've seen a rare Q25 sign I've never seen before. It said Q25 Jewel Ave via Kissena Blvd. Ive also seen a Q41 Lafayette Ave. The Q88 has a Kissena Blvd and a Main St designation sign. What is the purpose of these signs if they are rarely or never used.
Those are short turn codes.

Weekend Service Notice Click for details
No trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn trains replace the in the Bronx and Brooklyn... moreWeekends, 11:30 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, until Nov 24service operates between E 180 St and Chambers St, and via the to/from Rector St.
• Trains run local between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St all weekend.
service operates between Flatbush Av and E 180 St, and via the to/from 241 St.
Travel Alternatives
For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the .
For Park Place, Fulton St, Wall St, Clark St, Borough Hall and Hoyt St,
use nearby or stations instead.
In the Bronx and Brooklyn, take the instead.
• Transfer between and trains at E 180 St.
• Transfer between and trains at Times Sq-42 St.
• Transfer between and trains at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.
They don't say anything about Dyre ave. The is moved to 241st, but it says the is only going to 180th. If it's really going to Dyre, and this is their way of avoiding "confusion", it's just creating more confusion (even to click on the map at a Dyre line station, you only get the other information; not what's actually running there). It would be better to just keep the routing the same in the Bronx, and then tell the people going all the way to Brooklyn (the only ones really affected) to transfer at 180th (or 149th).
Also, how does the terminate at Rector? The only switches around there now are the ones leading to the new South Ferry. wouldn't that be closed off now? If it just goes around the loop of the old South Ferry empty, what's the point of that?
Something else that just occurred (after all this time) to me regarding the dropping out at Hews (insteaf of just going to Marcy), is that Marcy has elevators (wheelchair accessible, in addition to being more convenient for others), and Hewes doesn't!
Should that override any feared inconvenience of having to choose one sde of Marcy to keep open, and direct the people to that side?
1. There's no service on the Dyre Avenue line this weekend.
2. Most likely, the will drop out on the South Ferry platform, go light through the loop, and pick up on the Bronx bound platform.
3. It makes more sense to have service end at Hewes Street because then trains can relay easier than at Marcy Avenue.

The station is called and will continue to be called "Fulton St". Only the building itself will be known as the "Fulton Center".
Honestly, it sounds more like a mall than a subway station to me. But then again, stores are supposed to open in there soon, so yea.

so apparently the hybrid to diesel conversions for MTAB are not gonna happen now...
Well, looks like 3563 will be the only converted one of the MTA Bus Orion VIIs. Was it because of the capital plan being rejected ?

How come ENY didn't get NGs I know it random but always wanted to know lol
After the OGs, ENY didn't want any more hybrids, so Flatbush got their batch. Ulmer Park also was supposed to recieve NGs as well, but they didn't want hybrids at all.

According to the Second Subway plans, the Utica Ave line was to use Utica and Stuyvesant Aves. I noticed that the station shell runs into what looks like the basement of Boys and Girls HS, were there provisions/restrictions made when the school was approved to be built to allow the subway line to be built, or did they block the ROW to build the school ?
They did built the shell for what would have been a station over Utica Avenue , so they probably did.

Where did you hear that ? It makes more sense to put all of the terminals for both IND and BMT, despite the fact that by the time the 68s came in, all three separate companies were merged into the .
