News flash: no one gives a flying crap. Stop crowding the thread with bullshit.
Thank you.
Other than that, I am excited to see the R179's in testing soon.

NO!
It's pretty simple; there's no demand for any type of that line at the moment.

I know that we were having discussions about ridership at Hudson Yards, so I thought I'd share this picture from yesterday. This was taken on a Queens bound (car 7847) as the doors closed at Hudson Yards.
(A pretty solid crowd IMO. They weren't the same car as me but there was also a good amount of tourists coming from the High Line and going to Midtown and Times Square)
The station is being used pretty well. Very good.

The is encouraging people to read free e-books on the subway. Finally, something positive for the subway.

Love this!
Dont forget to add BART to the list.
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
But there's not alot of issues with BART as of recent.
Oh wait, the transit strikes and the recent power outages, right?

Yeah, West Farms has been borrowing buses from various depots, including Staten Island.
Well damn.

5880 was on the Bx15 yesterday.

The Bx15 operated a Tuskegee Airmen unit yesterday (number was 5880). Not the first time though. It has operated a bus from Gun Hill Depot and more.

Yep the R62As that's still on the runs outside of rush hours as well. Caught one of the sets yesterday. I'm not going to lie, I actually like the R188s on the
Same here. I like the R188's.

That is bizzare.
I'm currently on a Manhattan-bound train that departed Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue’s track 1 at 7:15 AM. The next stop is Bay Parkway.
An train from Coney Island is not that rare. It happens every now and then.

Well, there's talk of the fleet going back to the , so keep your fingers crossed lmao.

I just want to point out that there is a lot of misinformation and incorrect statements in the last 5 pages or so of this thread..
Just wait and see.
Here's your summation: T.B.A.

Anyways, I'm hoping to God that Bombardier gets this subway car into the city.

Someone on FB linked to the B division work program effective in November. Its some pretty interesting stuff...
Things of note:
trains are showing 96 Street as the Manhattan destination
trains currently operating to 57 Street are shown as continuing to 96 Street (with one or two trips operating 96th to Whitehall if I'm reading this thing correctly)
Some trains in the morning start from 179 Street
train trips between Ditmars and Whitehall are shown under the section
trains are shown operating between Whitehall and 95 Street late nights, taking approximately 31 minutes in either direction with a 15 to 18 minute lay over at Whitehall
Interesting to know, especially since we are gonna enter September in 2 weeks.
BTW, what happened to the "What If" thread?

The latest the R179's arriving here will be before school starts. If it dosent, chances are the MTA IS going to cancel the 179 order and increase the 211 order, unless they wanna give bombardier another...what is it now? 16th chance?
If that's the case, then let's hope it will actually be here by the end of this month or early next month. Getting tired of these delays. I like the 32's, but recently I have concerns about them, especially the 42's.

No, not at all.Anyone else notice how unstable the suspension is on the R46s? Like riding on a waterbed- it's ridiculous...

Indeed, lol.So it DOES exist lol
Most likely the 2nd Avenue line.Until it makes it's way down here, I'm not impressed.
Though it does make me wonder, which will enter service first, the 179s or the 2nd Avenue line? Any takers?

The is slow as always. :l

Video of one of the 179's in testing. Go to the 6:35 mark to see it.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting old from hearing about extending trains to Lafferty a thousand times already.
Is it being proposed again? :l

Any information regarding 5677, it is back in service. Spotted it on the M101 heading northbound this morning, and has a Tuskegee Airmen sticker on the back.

I know. Besides, I noticed why they stopped making train cars a while ago after making the US Standard Light Rail Vehicle.Boeing is interested in making money, not satisfying some railfan's Buy America hardon.
