  1. I saw an R62A on the today. I beleive it's number was 1980. But wouldn't that be a 240th car? It had a purple Corona sticker.
  2. Hi R188 7857, can I have an R188 number plate with the number 7881? Thanks.
  3. Oh ok. I knew about the scaffolding incident and the fire. But what happened on the Bx19?
  4. Does anyone know what happened to D60HF 5656? I was looking at a pic on TTMG and the front of the bus looked damaged. Then I looked at a pic of 5658, and it looked to be the same bus. Why would the numbers be different though? http://www.ttmg.org/pages/nfi/nymta-nfig.html It's the first pic of 5656 and the only pic of 5658.
  5. 7261-7904-7270 is in service. Literally just passed it on R62A 1912. Pics will come later.
  6. 7280 is still at Pitkin. Why should we be talking about the 7300s?
  7. Oh ok. I will create an account for Imgur. Converted car 7242: http://i.imgur.com/zqM0RIt.jpg
  8. On my computer. I just don't know how to get it onto the site. Any videos?
  9. When Bombardier has resolved their welding problems with the R179 and the first of the R179s are being delivered, I will move to that thread. LOL.

  11. I would show you a picture and video of 7241/2 but I'm still trying to figure out how to import media. I don't know how to do that yet.
  12. Rode the today. R188s running were: 7811-21 7822-32 7833-43 7844-54 7855-59, 71-76 7877-87 7888-98 7221-7900-7230 7231-7901-7240 7241-7902-7250 They did a nice job of cleaning 7241-7250. The lights seemed clean and brighter, the seats, floors, walls and doors seemed clean. I stepped aboard 7242 to see what had been done. It didn't look too bad. Only one of the storm doors had rust marks (the brown dots R188 7857 was mentioning) on it. Nice to see that Corona is cleaning up the converts. Didn't step aboard 7241, I was "scared" lol. No, not really, just walked to 7242 which seemed the cleanest.
  13. All eight new sets, plus the current converted sets (7211-7250) and probably 7251-7260 but I'm not sure where that set is at the moment.
  14. I saw it making simulated stops along the line on August 8th. I just recently heard it was back doing simulated stops on the again.
  15. 7903 isn't even in service yet, so I don't know where you are getting that from.
  16. I heard the reason it was testing so late was because 7879 had compressor problems. If you watch the news video of the R188s posted here a little while back, while the news media was there, 7879 was having it's compressor installed. The worker could have easily gotten distracted, but that's my guess. There could have been many other problems I was unawhere of with that set.
  17. 7832s my stalker. Although I have never rode that set. I just let it pass by. I looked for that set the first week it hit service but all I found that time was 7821. By the time I first saw 7832, 7876 was out and running and I was looking for the newest set. Now I always look for 7881, which has been fairly easy to do. I've only had to wait a couple of trains before it shows up. And the first time I saw it (I think only a week after it had been testing in Sea Beach) I walked down the steps at Times Square and saw 7881-7882 waiting. Still trying to find a time to ride 7832.
  18. I have almost NEVER seen 7860-70 in service. 7877 seems to be trailing 7876 everytime, everytime 7876 leaves GC, 7877 is the following train. I have seen 7876 a lot recently. Haven't been on the 7 in over a week though. I have been on every R188 set with the exception of 7822-32 and some of the converts, though I had a very easy chance to board 7832 many times. I have only seen 7860-70 in service ONCE out of all the times I have been on the 7 this year. I don't know what is happening with that set.
  19. If 7211-7220 has CBTC installed already, does that mean it will continue CBTC testing all the way until 2016 when CBTC on the Flushing Line goes online?
  20. The wiring is part of the CBTC installation, isn't it?...
  21. Thank you! Someone agrees! About this conversion issue, it really is starting to get crazy. I mean, it seems like 7211-7220 are dead. 7221-7230 are ok. I don't know what the hell is happening with 31-40. 41 looks like crap apparently. I don't know about 7250. 51-60 are still testing. It gets only a little better going up but it still depends on the car. And seriously, adding CBTC equipment and changing strip maps is really cheap. I guess at this point we should be greatful they are even testing them before placing them in service.
  22. Yes. And I'm saying whoever said it was the yard was obviously wrong.
