In my opinion, I believe that late night service should be completely phased out with the running late nights between Astoria and Bay Ridge and the running via Bridge for the night. This allows direct service to Midtown Manhattan and Queens from Brooklyn eliminating the complicated merging at Whitehall.

But yeah I stand with what your saying, I just added on the fact that the whole reason why the Passenger Communication section exists on the NTT'S is to better allow the passenger to understand where they are going. This problem could also cause the TOD to reset, meaning it could reset the coupling systems, emergency systems, brake systems and so forth.

Yea but the issue with the 179's is that all the on board systems keep shutting down when running over third rail gaps. Transit dosent have the knowledge how to fix it or the parts to do it. This can be a big issue because if the train is set to a specific program that program can get reset to NOT IN SERVICE.

Hold on, this is just stupid. Why is the operating via the bridge during late night hours instead of via Montague? Don't tell me it's because the can't turn at Whitehall without screwing up service, no one uses the over the bridge anyway during the night. But, in my opinion, the should run over night from Astoria to Bay Ridge via Mountague so that you don't have this mess of a late night service.
