The Judge: "So you're case is that you want to MTA to remove the gangway components so you can kill yourself? Go back to school, kid. Case closed."
I wish these stupid teenagers had that type of audacity lol.
The judge and the cars are sending Spider-man wanna Bes a message

“I'm just waiting for someone to sue because the exterior bellows prevent them from climbing on top of the train to "surf."”
there is a lady, whose son was killed while surfing the train last year, is suing Tik Tok, Meta & for the death. That was his fault. Nobody told him to be like Spider-Man and stand on top of the subway car. Cars to shake, rattle and roll as they go from station to station stop suddenly. Standing still on the top is not your favorite spot, it stops suddenly, you lose control and you fall, and there’s your demise. The ones that suffer is your surviving members of your family because you choose to stand on top of the subway car. Too dangerous and too risky. Let Hollywood take care of the stunts. You are not an actor or actress. You’re just young to realize what has happened. His death was recent talked about that lead to the fight on the pilot R211’s first day of service. His girlfriend, still grieving from that started kicking and beating on another transit foamer because he mentioned it.

I saw a pic of that on facebook. The "surfing" was 2 males riding on the outside of the train (last car of course).
It’s like I always say. Surfing on subways is an invitation to meet your permanent demise from this world

Rushed training and pushing them through even if they don’t fully understand the concept of driving a bus. The training at Washington Twp specifically has went to s**t.
Not everybody from WT is that bad. If you noticed about these MCI D4500CT buses, nobody wants to do the Philadelphia runs (401, 402, 406, 408, 410 & 412) but everybody’s quick on doing the 400 & 551, especially during the evening hours. And what’s this with location changes around WRTC?

honestly 11 sets of R32's wouldn't have been enough tbh and out of those 11 sets, they would have ran only 7 to 8 sets. The R46 fleet runs like garbage due to the low amount of spares right now. The B divsion fleet in general is taking a nose dive. The Jamaica R160s run like they are 35 years old and starting to ride like garbage because the air suspension is shot.
This is why i don't think it's a good idea to start retiring the R46's in Mass, The only exception is if a set is completely shot. Then you have to factor in congestion pricing (which is delayed. The more it's delayed, The better)
The R211 with all options taken would eliminate this issue. They ordered enough R211s Both Base and Option I to completely wipe out the R46s and fill the void left by the R32's. Option II would just expand the fleet.
They wanna wait until after the 2025 mayoral race

In order for them to retire the R46s from the NQW they are going to have to replace the R68s with NTTs on the B/D. I can't predict which will end up on B/D. The other possibility is that they put R211s on the NQW to directly replace the R46s, but just like with the R160s, they'll end up being swapped out again so that 6th Ave can go CBTC.
Once again, the Broadway Line is NOT getting R211s

And if that’s the case, it will take about 15 years to deliver these cars and the R46s will be busted and catching on fire by then. Then we can forget about CBTC installment on 6 Av until 2050.
Is that your conspiracy theory?

I'm going to reiterate this point once again. You guys really need to stop relying on the discord bot and feed, especially with the source not being as reliable as it seems.
Wow! They’re using Discord? Hmmmm. I stay away from that. I rather see it in person.

What are my chances of catching an R211 on the weekend? I was thinking of getting out there this Sunday but I don't want to waste my time...
Depending on the GO. You should get 4 plus 2 sets of Ts.

Even with GOs this weekend they were running 2 trains apart. Their roster for the weekend was 2 R211Ts, R179s from both Pitkin & ENY and 4 sets of R46s

169 has a cab, not 166. That’s why is said 170-168-167-166-169
A- B- B- B- A

Why do we have a new thread about these? Can the mod discontinue this thread?

UPDATE ON THE R211S AS OF 2/6/24
R211s in service
R211A: 60 cars, or 6 10-car trains (technically 80 if it weren't for all those issues), all trains currently run on the line
4060-69, pilot, definitely needs to get washed
4070-74, 4115-19
4075-79, 4090-94
4095-99, 4130-34
4100-04, 4120-24
4110-14, 4125-29
R211T: 20 cars, or 2 10-car trains, all trains currently run on the line
4040-44, 4050-54
4045-49, 4055-59
Total amount of R211s in service: 100 technically, 80 currently
All are at pitkin
Other consists not in service yet and TBD sets
R211A:
4080-84, 4140-44
4145-49, 4165-69, soon to enter service, BIT'd on 2/4
4085-89, still OOS; getting fixed
4105-09, other set TBD
4135-39, other set TBD
4150-54, other set TBD
4155-59, other set TBD
4160-64, other set TBD
4190-94, other set TBD
4195-99, other set TBD
R211S:
100-104
Total amount of R211s not in service: 40 technically, 60 currently (not counting the R211S), 45 technically, 65 currently (counting the R211S)
Notes: 4085-89 is still getting fixed unless otherwise. 4080-84 went into service on 8/17/23, but because of flat wheels, gearbox issues and then more cars from CIY after the issues, it paired up with 4140-44. 4135-39 went into service with 4130-34 in October (don't remember exact date), but 4130-34 left with 4095-99. So as of now, it's new set to pair up with is TBD, which is also why 4105-09 is TBD because it was paired with 4095-99.
There are a total of 100 cars in service (4040-4139) technically, but let's see what 4080-84, 4085-89, 4105-09, and 4135-39 are up to after the gearbox, flat wheel issues, and other sets replacing them. So right now, there's only 80 cars, ranging from 4040-4079, 4090-4104, and 4110-4134.
R211Ss do not connect with each other, they stay 5-car sets because it's Staten Island. They might switch them up, Ex. 170-126-147-103-169 but that would be stupid as it's fine being like this. Ex. 100-101-102-103-104
R211 Deliveries
R211A: 4060-4169, 4190-99, 120 cars or 12 10-car sets; 4150-64, 4190-99 at CIY; rest of cars at Pitkin
R211T: 4040-4059, 20 cars or 2 10-car sets; all at Pitkin
R211S: 100-104, 1 5-car set; set at Clifton; will hopefully see service next month
Total number of cars delivered: 145
Notes: Not much, just that there are many more to come, numbered 110-174, 4170-4189, 4200-4499, and more numbers TBD for the Option Order cars.
R211s confirmed as built
So, besides the ones that are already delivered to the city, here are the other ones that are confirmed as built.
R211A: 4170-4189, 4200-4234, 55 cars or 5 10-car sets and 1 5-car set; All at Lincoln, NE at the Kawasaki plant
R211S: 105-109, 5 cars or 1 5-car set; At Kawasaki Yonkers plant in Yonkers, NY, north of The Bronx; All remaining R211Ss will most likely get delivered to Clifton, not SBK
Total cars built and not delivered: 65
Notes: There's probably more cars built, but so far, we got these guys.
Add that up with the delivered cars and you get...
175 R211As (4060-4234); 265 under construction + 640 from Option Order I
20 R211Ts (4040-4059); completed
10 R211Ss (100-109); 65 under construction
205 R211s in total, still... (100-109, 4040-4234)
And Many 44s and 46s to be replaced...May y'all rest in peace...starting soon...
Notes: And Option Order II is still up for grabs between the As and Ts. We don't even know how many cars are in the order. It's either 333 or 437 cars, some 5 and 4-car sets. This will get revealed after the Ts receive some feedback on their features, and themselves in general, that way we know. It will take until maybe 2025 to see what's gonna go on.
I did it again because like, there's so many updates for like no reason. Hope you like this!
Or do this: 170-168-167-166-169

Didn’t the R211A pilot also got taken OOS the first couple of days due to a door issue?
No, but it was taken out of service due to it breaking down that reset the whole 30 day revenue testing

R211T was taken out of service at Chambers St due to door problem
