  1. 2081-85 is still on the with 2081 still a half cab set.
  2. Thats why lately my go to home lines have been the & . The has truly frustrated me.
  3. Im also currently in the mess of the . Was is the investigation?
  4. What happened to 2081-2085? Is that at Westchester.
  5. The has been running on the 8th avenue line during weekend G.O.s to the WTC terminal station. I guess the train crews forgot to change the sign back.
  6. Not quite, I saw an R32 train bound to Lefferts Blvd at 168th St while waiting for an R68 to show up between 6:00-6:30 pm.
  7. MTA board meetings are coming up next week. Will there be a piece on the R211 program?
  8. Besides, isn't Bombardier in enough hot water with the MTA for further disqualification anyways, regardless of the R179s arrival.
  9. I'll tone into it. Thanks for the updates.
  10. How long do they plan to keep those remaining R62As on the ? I haven't heard or seen any R188 set undergoing testing so figure enough R188s could be relied upon to provide service completely on the .
  11. Speaking of SMEEs, today service on the was comprised of just R62As cause I couldn't spot not one single R142A out on the road. When's the last time thats ever happened on the lol.
  12. In two years time, the R179s will be just another tech train rolling up & down the subway tracks and all these excitement's & debates would become a distant memory.
  13. Until the MTA officially announces new plans for new A division cars and quote, unqoute "the R62s are reaching the end of their useful lives", its way to early to tell.
  14. PIX 11 News will have coverage shortly about the R179s arrival.
  15. Eventually if all goes planned well in accordance to the R211 order and delivery, in which the could become a primary candidate, this conversation would become irrelevant. Again this is speculation and lets hope that the RIGHT builder is chosen for the R211s timeframe.
  16. The other day I managed to walk across the boardwalk over looking corona yard and saw several R62As singles scatterd around the yard. Also, the two remaining 240th St yard R62As that are on the are coupled together at the moment. Since all the expected R188s are now on the , maybe they should send those sets back over to the and have whatever R62As sets remaning on the be sent to the to make up for it.
  17. After watching this, I can only imagine a scenario with open-gangway cars.
  18. 1907 is also being used for garbage duty. Saw it last night on the middle track at 207th st on the .
  19. These past two days, I've been fortunate to ride on R62As with pleasant A/Cs on both the & . When those A/Cs work properly on the R62As, its a delightful feel... I'll tell ya'll lol.
  20. I dont know the accurate answer to this question but why were the R62As built with only one compressor in the first place?
  21. Certain times you get that one train set that just seems to stock you. Lately, R62A 2441-2445 has been finding me more on the .
  22. Those R62As that are left on the are being kept for service fill-in's due to a few R188s having their CBTC components tested. Still no telling when those R62As will be transferred over to the mainline yet but the whole CBTC work on the really depends on the signals and communications as oppose to just the trains.
  23. Just heard a report from WNYC about the "hot car" lack of A/C crisis thats been going on the R62A fleet. These cars are due for their SMS cycles and rightfully so. On more than 10 occasions this summer or the last few summers to say the least, I've been on R62As with no air condition on both the & and the MTA spokesman admitted that the lack of A/C on the R62A fleet has been a intolerable problem.
