  1. I just saw the wrapped on the Manhattan bound track at Parkside Ave Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  2. I was on that train in the first car, and way before we got to Lex-63rd, it announced "This is...", and we got stuck in the tunnel for a few minutes. Then, when we got to 72nd, it was still saying "THE NEXT STOP IS ; 72 ST" and it didn't even play any announcements except Stand Clear of the Closing Doors. At 86th Street, it went back to normal. It was one buggy train. Also, Charlie Pellet was on the train and I met him and took some photos. On the way back, I noticed the Coney Island bound announcement changed. It now states "This is a Coney Island - Stillwell Avenue bound local train." Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  3. Does anyone know what wrapped trains there are and when they depart Stillwell/96th? (to ride it) Thanks!
  4. Didn't it used to be Brighton LCL? I was also wondering why they didn't Chang Broadway EXP. Maybe because there isn't enough space. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  5. I feel like the bullet pattern in the SAS wrap reminds me of the old pre-1979 bullets. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  6. Wow! I plan on seeing all of the stops on the second of January since I'll be too sleepy to see it on the first lol. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  7. How is the SAS going to open on December 30/31 if there are no notices posted up at any stations, and they still haven't confirmed a date? Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  8. Service Change Posted: 12/17/2016 7:32AM Due to the opening of the South Channel Bridge, the following service changes are in effect: There is no Subway train service between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Far Rockaway-Mott Av in both directions There is no Subway train service between Broad Channel and Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St in both directions. Shuttle bus service is available in both directions between Rockaway Blvd and Beach 90 St. Customers may find Shuttle buses at the south end of the station exit at Rockaway Blvd. Shuttle train service is available between Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St and Far Rockaway Mott Av in both directions. As an additional alternative customers may use the Q22, Q53 or Q113 bus service making nearby station stops. Allow additional travel time. Welp, The snow hasn't stopped yet, and it's reasonable for the Rockaways to close easily. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app

  13. I was on an R68 today... Can't remember the number though. Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  14. The time has come to begin talking about iPhone 8 rumors... I've heard that it will be a major design change. The screen might cover more of the front, and even wireless charging is a rumor. The iPhone 7 wasn't really that different from the 6/6S, so hopefully the 8 will have the rumored design change. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  15. Another weirdly spaced sign... The will probably placed right next to the ... And how are the 2 exits so close to each other? Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app

  18. I was on that Holliday train Sunday, and the train did seem to start to break earlier... Also, the R4 jerked around the most. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  19. I thought it would be like what they did with that one R68 set on the with the LED display...
  20. Ehh... The doesn't really affect service. The bus stops, and lets passengers on and off the same time it takes at other stops regardless of if there is a coming... however, the area between Ocean Avenue and Coney Island avenue on Avenue M has traffic at times. That is very true. There are a lot of people that may not be mindful of what they are doing, like crossing the road on red. One other thing that causes this problem is because when there is a 30 minute interval between busses, and then there are busses that are 10 minutes behind that bus, and can easily catch up due to the accumulating amount of riders waiting at each stop, and then all three stay clustered because one bus gets one stop, the other gets another, and etcetera. The thing is, I don't understand why the second bus is leaving the terminal 30 minutes after the first one.
  21. The B9 is one of those lines where you wait over 30 minutes just to see 3 busses in a row. :l It's an open road unlike Manhattan. I wonder what would happen if the B9 had a limited service B9... Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  22. It makes more sense to replace the R42's for the following reasons: 1. 2. There are way more R32's than R42's still in service. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  23. It looks like it has a higher resolution. Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
  24. Yeah. The really annoying part about those G.O.'s is the fact that both lines run express on one side, and local on the other. The Brighton line has really frustrated me. But before 2010, it was really common for me to get a seat in an R68 . Sent from my iPad using NYC Transit Forums mobile app
