This applies to subways as well. The R142 and R142A are similar in design but made by two different companies. The decision to scrap a bus vs. rebuild one is made on a case by case basis.

Highly doubt it. These buses have I'd say 2 more yrs max., one bad accident or fire and they are gone for good. If it took 1 hr to put out, certainly wasn't a small fire then and apparently there are charred remains.

I was just on the Q44 and if you go north from the 39th ave/main st stop, idk if they're doing things to the machines but they had a lot of crewmen working, they might be moving them idk

The news article said the bus had no passengers, did that mean after they evacuated or before otherwise that M101 was running hot.

#7502 got new trucks according to Fan Railer's video?? So maybe they gonna install some here. Could this be in relation to CBTC or those derailments from a few months ago cause they can record data??

That anecdote about the bus driver saying it's not a local bus. LMAO Express buses are definitely a chance when your waiting. The bus driver could be on the expressway and skipping your stop and you gotta wait 30min for the next one. Most of them do know the route and how to avoid traffic jams.

They all originate from Coney Island Yard but The SAS wrapped train(s) never ran on N, W either. I bet there are certain sets assigned to run on certain lines.

Lol NICE has to schedule in artics and over here they're second nature for artic routes. Then again, NICE is a small company and shrinking.....

Pretty sure MTA just half-assed it, it caused problems with the entire NG fleet that had them but in this case, its one LFSA that have signs that don't work and don't affect any other parts of the bus. Other LFSA screens have been working fine.

Well why not? Just because the interior pilot signs aren't working doesn't mean you should take the whole bus out of service

Yea that's not on purpose. They've been broken for awhile now. The other buses that have been transferred still have theirs on.
