  1. Exactly if you're scheduled to work those hours on that day you can't call and say I can't do it you'll have no choice. You'll be at the mercy of the crew office what ever tour and hours they give and days off you have for that week is what you're going to get.
  2. The midterm is easy if you study for it tbh, first yard practical is prepping the train for a yard move and cuts and adds, the second practical is a brake pipe rupture and prepping a train for service.
  3. Yeah pre employment, medical and then sworn in with a start day and what to wear and what boots you need.
  4. Nah you should be good if it makes you feel any better just call 180 and ask them. It's a simple mistake not like you murdered someone and have a pending charge or some crazy felony you have opened you never told them about. But if you want just call them if it makes you feel 1000% better mentally.
  5. Yes it is normal just write everything you wrote before on your pre-employment application
  6. This is the one I picked up https://www.amazon.com/KAKA-Backpack-Waterproof-Students,Anti-Theft-40L(Black)/dp/B00Y9WXB7E/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=2OU81QSAD1VBH&keywords=kaka+bag&qid=1636389785&qsid=137-9058489-4065366&sprefix=kaka+bag%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-3&sres=B00Y9WXB7E%2CB071ZMLMH7%2CB07P775N9L%2CB01H4O29T4%2CB07BRLSNBV%2CB07GRVHDT9%2CB01N2UNJTG%2CB003NF25K2%2CB07MK6J5NT%2CB07D3NMK4M%2CB093KBX7KL%2CB015OFQIS8%2CB01GHPH31U%2CB07QLKFP8D&srpt=BACKPACK Got the 22.5 inch one
  7. You set it up on the website they'll explain that during the zoom meeting at least they should if they're still doing the zoom orientation.
  8. The pay is biweekly, and you can get the bag almost everyone buys which is the kaka bag of Amazon they have straps that can be tucked away when crossing the train tracks in yards.
  9. A garage no parking is really tight over there make sure to get there early. There's alternate parking on both sides of the street over there and parking is usually gone super fast.
  10. They're free you get one free pair every year around October, the MTA pays for them.
  11. Once you're out on your own the crew office will deal with all your scheduling. So it won't be the same they can change your tour and days off until you're able to pick a job.
  12. Should of gotten a name so you could of been like ms so and so said such and such.
  13. Okay then when you go for final processing aka medical then bring both with you the safety glasses you get will be the same prescription as what you have, any questions just ask me.
  14. Yeah imagine not being able to see the signals and on the roadway and other stuff going on. Just bring your glasses or contacts with you and show them people down here wear glasses. If the glasses and contacts work the same then keep the current ones unless you need new pairs then get them and bring them with you and show them. You won't get denied for wearing glasses or contacts.
  15. High blood pressure, a high bmi with a thick neck, diabetes, color blindness, heart problems, hearing issues, and other stuff they ask on a survey when you get there. They doesn't reject people for those things but you'll need to probably see a doctor to have these things looked at so that the mta isn't liable for something happening to you god forbid.
  16. They didn't ask me but I started before the vaccine was implemented by the mta, but I doubt it you could always call and ask to be 1000% sure.
