  1. No problem that's what we're all here for to help one another
  2. It's very very common I went to 3 pre employments before I was hired as a conductor back in 2019 and 2 pre employments before I became a train operator last year. So it definitely was not sent as an error at all, respond to it if you wish to be hired as a conductor still and bring all papers you'll be doing another drug test also.
  3. Gotta wear whatever they have listed on the site or get boots that meet the regulations that transit boots have and get them signed by a superintendent. You can talk to tss to clarify more
  4. (Insert nigel face) smashing! Real talk you're in though positive vibes screw the negative bs
  5. You can start reading it, it doesn't hurt you can read some of the signals that are I believe in chapter 3 or 4 of the rule book and the flagging rules also. As well as chapter one and train operator duties forgot the chapter that's on...
  6. I started in the A as a conductor and now I'm in the B as a train operator, been thinking of going back to the A but idk I might stay in the B it's not too bad. Much bigger yes, but that makes it much more exciting lol
  7. Yeah that's my goal tbh that's why I had to move up from c/r no other way around it.
  8. Yup wait a year just in case you don't like the t/o or whatever the case is. That's what I did graduated c/r school car in 2019 waited a year and some change and then took the t/o position when they called me.
  9. Request a tss or have someone explain it to you beforehand we're aren't born knowing everything don't worry.
  10. You can only be late 3 times hopefully this time they brush it off...
  11. I know they still need train operators they're short staffed super short staffed. This Saturday into Sunday 207 Station on the A has no train operators at midnight to move the trains, barely any. So they had a conga line of trains waiting outside of 207 for like 40 plus minutes in order for us to move in. I got back to 207 and when I got there the dispatcher was stressing out because they had zero train operators to move a train so that other trains and could pull into the station...
  12. Anytime 🤣 just enter bsc and password and you're all good to go no need to call IT about accessing bulletins lmao
  13. Congrats guys/gals in the Feb 21st class if y’all have questions just ask I don't mind helping anyone out. Teamwork makes the dream work 💪
  14. They'll throw you around everywhere while you're still new, I live in queens and since I've been out of school car for t/o since October I've never been close to home only 1 time, all other times I'm either at 207 terminal or Bedford Park. Even when I was a c/r from 2019 until my promotion I was thrown everywhere. As time progresses you'll gain senority and get to pick a job. I have my c/r classmates who've been out since 2019 and still haven't picked a job yet...
  15. Nothing sit with other passengers wondering why I didn't get a car
  16. The reporting terminals in the B would be all the terminals in North and South, I live in queens and they keep putting me no where in queens just on the A B C or D. You'd get lucky getting a report location at stillwell. I met this new t/o who lives in stillwell and they send him up to 207 on the A.
  17. If you're bmi is above 35, if your neck is bigger than 17.5( correct me if I'm wrong been a while since my medical), diabetes, something popping up abnormal on the ekg, sleep apnea, color blindness.
  18. You can easily get 100 hours or more per pay period. The MTA has you working a minimum of 40 hours per week but those hours can easily climb past 40 if the job is a penalty job, late clears or if you're xx then being on board, or even if you work your day off(wouldn't advise until after probation).
  19. Probably the B division would be your best bet in the A division they can send you to the bronx or Flatbush, new lots, or Utica or even main street or Hudson yards if on the 7. And the MTA does pay you for lunch which and if you don't get a lunch they'll pay you 30 minutes. Like if something happens on the road and you weren't able to get lunch.
