  1. Can someone tell me why Spring Creek Depot is a Queens Depot even though it has only Brooklyn buses and is located in Brooklyn?
  2. Whenever I check this website http://ttmg.org/transitwiki/Insider's_Guide:_Metropolitan_Transportation_Authority_Bus_Operations_-_Depot_Summary#JFK_Depot_.28JK.29 It still shows 3 at JFK and 7 at LGA
  3. When are the 1996 RTS buses from JFK and LaGuardia going to be scrapped?
  4. MTA just posted on their website that 145 stop is being fixed. Will that mean they will be extending the platforms to fit more cars?
  5. I would like to see the difference if there was a R160 vs the current R160 and see if there is any difference cause like you said, when I take the on 6th Avenue and see and express (D). The R160 is always neck to neck or sometimes outruns a R68
  6. Was the south end of 86th Street on the BMT Sea Beach ever an entrance? It looks like an exit near the stairway overpass?
  7. All of you guys are wrong, neighborhood names only exist for terminals you can't put 36th Street - Sunset Park etc..
  8. This is a random thought question. So today I watched the MTAs new YouTube video about redesigning the Staten Island express bus service. After reading all the comments of people complaining that they want a subway service with connections via 4th Avenue which I think at this point would be too cost worthy. I thought why doesn't the MTA or PATH think of possibly extending the SIR beyond St. George to the Ball Park station (Not using the rest of the North Shore corridor) and then crossing into Bayonne NJ using it's existing corridor and getting rid of the light rail. Then have the SIR or PATH turn down Grand St in Jersey City and either end at the river or create a new tunnel into lower Manhattan. This could even be an extension of the SAS instead of SIR or PATH.. What do you guys think?
  9. Anyone know when new bus fleet are coming to replace the old RTS buses?
  10. I can see the adding elevators to underground stations but someone tell me how can they add elevators to non express elevated stations? Especially with many of the elevated stations being so close and narrow to adjacent buildings? Even elevators going to the platform seems impossible.
  11. Sounds like not a good idea to me, you're extending the train way too much, it would have so much problems on that line similar to how long the is today.
  12. Thanks. Know anything about the other lines/stations I mentioned?
  13. Hey guys do any of you know what are the next stations to get renovated that are outside (Not underground)? The remaining of the Flushing line stations Church Ave on the Brighton Aqueduct North Conduit on the The entire Dyre Ave line The rest of Jamaica Cypress Hills - 121 New Lots Ave on Livonia I know the Astoria line will get fixed soon as well as Culver and Sea Beach and Westchester Sq East Tremont on the Also will the MTA eventually dismantle Intervale Ave on the Does anyone know the dates?

  15. What about recording the speed of each R32, 46, 68 and 160s running down Cranberry Tube during rush hour?
  16. I'll take my L on this one.. I'll admit I just don't like the R68s and i'm being childish lol
  17. You make fair points but I don't think age of the cars should be the case, R46s, 32s, 42s go faster than the 68s in my opinion as well.
  18. Then explain why the R68s cant push weight as fast as the 160s?.. You can have a local R160 train running down 4th Ave going faster than an R68 express train.. Actually I just checked: R68 car is 92,720 vs. R160 car is 85,200 lbs.. So you're wrong the 68s are heavy.
  19. I agree the fat a** R68/As suck so much, they're really slow on the as well and I dislike when they're on the because then 4th Ave is slow as hell!! In all honesty I think the 68s are much louder than the 46s. Since I live in between the & trains in Brooklyn. I live the furthest from the but I can still hear the 68s roar from my house. The 160s are quiet and the 46s I can barely hear although the express tracks on the Culver are extremely loud especially at night. Edit: my bad this was in reference to the comment you were responding to.. just my thoughts on the 68s.
  20. When will it start though? And the last of the R62As when will they go onto the
  21. Hey guys, now that CBTC is complete on the line. When will it start running?
