Same here. I said the XD60s Quill has will go to FB and people were like “that doesn’t make any sense!” And now look. I feel like one thing is said here, one person recites it, someone bash what was said, and eventually what was said ends up happening.

2 buses are traveling citywide.

Well for one the depots that do have the 2011-2013 XD60s would need to get the LFSAs in return to make up for the buses if they were all transferred to BK. Right now we have 90 lfsa in other depots such as Quill, FB, and Mother Clara. So I would believe once this new XD60 order is near completion the XD60s from the Bronx should be in bk all together if not all of them.

The B38 and Q58 are going artic so I guess since grand is artic ready they can do so easily than the other depots here, I would presume.

So BK is going to stay majority new flyer as planned. Also looks like the 4700s to bk is looking like it’s back on the table.

It was driving to FB depot this afternoon.

6136 to FB. I saw it while I got off the B82. It has no decals on it.

Brooklyn should have been in an uproar about a lot of things. Most likely will. This order has been in commence since last year.

I have a good feeling FB or UP will get that last bit of the new XD40s.

This is why I asked if Grand was going to mixed fleet. I the TA buses from bus company won’t be coming back until much later so once OH get their new XD60s I can see things moving. I know once upon a time the 4700s were supposed to come to Brooklyn but I guess that maybe be a factor since it would be easier for the bk division. Would you say the MTA is doing artic implementations on the Q58 and B38 now due to sone depots needing 40 footers?

There were plans long ago to send the 4700s to FB or ENY I believe to convert the B41 or some other route. But it was scrapped.

I think it’s still in the works.

This leads me to my next question which would be will Grand have permanent mixed fleet that isn’t just new flyer based? So when the 38 and 58 become artic in future will it be able to utilized a mixture? Since grand is closer to the Bronx than a depot like FB in which Zegra is the CFM for their LFSA fleet.

Since grand avenue has two lfsa that will be an artic implementation. Will Grand Avenue depot be a mixed CFM unlike its original plan to be just new flyer?

The 38 turns on Bond st and its curved for traffic to go on to fulton. I believe the 58 can do the same in its own situation.

Cause wouldn’t it be smarter to train on a route that is?

Just saw bus 6137 as a training bus on the B41 Bergen beach branch. Do they train people on routes that aren’t articulated?

That was when the full L train was a go now this newer bus link are just the plan for a partial shutdown.

I’m reading up about the new L train shutdown bus service called Williamsburg link. Can anyone shed light on that?

Interesting, I would always felt Manhattan espeically MJQ was where everyone that got special treatment because it was in Manhattan. I understand a lot of people on here who works for the MTA and love the RTS would be very disheartened when they get retired but the article should understand those buses are getting ready to be out the door within the year. ENY was the depot they mentioned there and so far ENY is about to get more newer buses and next year artics for their routes. So if anything these bus depots with the most older buses are going to get newer ones from now and the next few years. FB is already receiving new artics and most likely the next hybrid order will be going there as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the MTA decided to make Grand ave a depot that will house LFSAs. I know they wanted the BK division to be all NF or majority but being how Grand Avenue is closer to depots such as MJQ than MJQ is to Zegra I could see that happening.

Probably a few needed to be put out of service for a while. Luckily the Q10 is out of the same depot the Q52 is from so they can probably spare one.
