  1. That some shouldn’t result in taking away service from one of the most highest frequented bus route in nyc. The M14 was always supposed to go select anyway and even went with transit way.
  2. The Quill in general got an additional 30 plus lfsa buses with the new scheme to replace the local fleet they had for the M14. They only took FB newer artics due to the fact they wanted more service to the M14 for the L train project. But even still many displaced riders aren’t taking the bus it’s the J and M trains they are using and they’re using the subway to get to them not the bus.
  3. B44 sbs didn’t use RTSs they took about 10 of FB artics and put them in Manhattan.
  4. Brooklyn division shuttles more people than any other borough and yet we lose buses to every other borough. They took those artics off the b44 sbs cause the M14 got more service additions for the L train project even though most riders are taking the M and J trains. What person who need to go to Brooklyn would take a Manhattan bus route to the j train when’s 14th has more subway options? The MTA didn’t even think this crap through at all.
  5. Does anyone know when Grand is supposed to start getting the 4700 XD60s from the Bronx?
  6. What i said originally had nothing to do with unrealistic expectations but more so how I’m personally seeing change on service since the SBS was implemented. I understand traffic conditions play a huge part but even still the traffic conditions on the route was the same since it was implemented. I said I just figured it must have been because of the recent pick. The issue with bus lanes is that people park in them all the time and even with truck loading zones. Traffic cops don’t do much to help negate parking in places where there shouldn’t be. The B82 sbs was going to have a lot more bus lanes but was significantly reduced due to community backlash. It wasn’t as it was in outreach for years before it was implemented. The people who rallied against it claimed it was false but they always held work shops for it. Now unlike the M14 sbs that’s a different story.
  7. I understand traffic plays a part but i take the B82 regularly everyday. Usually during the last pick I always caught it around the same time and recognized the same driver. The buses are now more so jammed packed before it hits Utica and flatlands. The locals are more so the better option now. But again the B82 sbs wasn’t like this a month or two ago.
  8. The B82 sbs has gotten bad recently. Wait times are longer and I’m not sure if it’s because of the recent pick. Literally last month the wait times for it wasn’t bad at all it was 10 minutes off peak and 6-9 during rush hour. Now I’m waiting for the bus and there’s a 25 minute gap for the sbs the locals are running better than the sbs. Not sure what happened.
  9. I feel like these L train shuttle things aren't as needed as before. Unlike the original plan when the L train was going to be shutdown from manhattan to Brooklyn most people are going to use the other subway options to get to Brooklyn.
  10. Sbs is a replacement to the limited but sbs most likely won’t be implemented on certain routes as it’s supposed to because all door boarding will be on buses.
  11. Yeah but they literally are sending artics from FB to quill and wf in droves.
  12. They’re trying to kill service just to give it to the M14 and it’s quite sad. That means more buses are going to be subjected to over crowding and people are going to stop taking it. I wish I could call a community rep because this is just outrageous.
  13. I figured and looked up the schedule for the B44 sbs and looks like its now every 10 minutes off peak and every 5-6 during rush hours.
  14. Honestly to me I don’t even feel the M14 even need all those buses and especially during the night and weekends when every other sbs route in Manhattan isn’t like during the day. To me this is just them trying to make sure they can cover themselves but I mean really MJQ has over 110 LFSAs you can’t tell me that isn’t enough buses. Now if this were an older plan like pre janurAry and they had all those new bus routes and shuttles I can see but the new plan has been reduced significantly so to me those buses aren’t needed in the same magnitude as the initial L train shutdown.
  15. If you can answer this but how come the Bronx has the most articulated routes throughout the city?
  16. I think the money right now isn’t set for any new artics except for the XE order since the new XD60 order is in progress. ENY said in a post that if things fail with the XE60s the mta has s backup for another fuel type just Incase.
  17. Could it be possible that when transit get their buses from bus co could some of those go to quill?
  18. something doesn’t add up with these XD60s going to quill. They got more LFSAs (36 in fact) that already replaced majority of the local fleet for the M14 sbs. But being how the M14 is going select how on earth would they need more buses? Are they’re adding more service?
  19. Yeah mean sbs service because the Q53 is only an sbs route.
  20. 54 I believe and that’s including the buses for sbs.
  21. The M96 was supposed to have started this year but was held back until next. Unless something has changed by now?
