  1. Press Release from NFI Oct 25 2021 I am having trouble connecting the dots now since NFI just made a press release regarding the final year of this order. Maybe someone can chime in. My take: It appears academy allotments are done in year 5 order as they were originally slotted to receive more. What is clear is, 118 buses are in production for year 6 for NJT only but the additional 33 has been cut and divert instead in year 5 for NJT. Follow? lol Latest is Fairview is not receiving any new 45 footers nor is market st at this time. Most of not all of the remaining NJT commuter coaches will go to Oradell making for a potential grand total of 7 plus 31 plus 118 = 156 for Oradell. (I know capital management approved Oradell to handle up to 160 45 footers) Oradell original floor plan is 209 40 footers. Oradell will still need more bus replacements but will be at size capacity until the northern bus garage is built.
  2. Comes to my attention some of the 213xxx are not logging the actual trip assignment since first day in service. Example 21302 21308 21309 21310 21315 21317. Must be a provisioning issue out of the gate from clever. One thing for sure they are from and operating out of Oradell *21315 is currently in Westwood to perform a 165 NYC trip 12:12pm
  3. Fresh arrival at Oradell. #21307 Ready for service starting tomorrow. Expecting more from CMF this week as we continue to retire 2001 d4000
  4. surround view camera upgraded night vision and resolution along with better shield protection
  5. I have the honor to put it in service this evening also received 21313 and 21301
  6. History will be made on OCT 21 2021 2110-69BUS STOCK PROGRAM: PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) ZERO-EMISSION BUSES – Authorization to enter into NJ TRANSIT Contract No. 20-058 with New Flyer of America for the purchase of eight Zero-Emission 40 foot Buses to be operated at the Newton Avenue Bus garage, including spare parts, at a cost not to exceed $9,429,947, plus five percent for contingencies, subject to the availability of funds. We now know it will be the NFI Xcelsior CHARGE NG 40 foot all electric. Production could start as early as Jan 2022 once the board approves the above measure
  7. I agree, in fact they (PC) took advantage of this private/public partnerships. It is extremely difficult to have over sight. PC are contractual obligated to maintain proper order of the buses given to them. Customers are always stuck in the middle. Makes the entire NJ bus operations look like fools whenever PC suddenly don’t provide the service that they signed up and get paid for by NJT. It will take a political force that cares for mass transit to bring reform for sake of the public. NJT should create a sub division within the NJT police department to ensure compliance and fraud prevention.
  8. There is the reasoning why the rest of the batch are being made with silver sides. Allows NJT to quickly change the graphics if needed. The status of private carriers are forever changing. 21301 will likely head to Oradell. They are allocating to garages with oldest average bus fleet first. That makes Oradell first. No confirmation just yet. side note: there remains a ongoing legal litigation State of NJ vs Academy. The outcome of this could result of terminating contract with academy across all lines. However, I expect some sort of compromise.
  9. Here is update of current D4500CT at Oradell As of today august 27th all loaners have been returned to their original garages except the following 21099, 21178, 21179, 21184 (loaners) 21191-21197 officially home to oradell current working roster is a measly ten Oradell awaits the start of year 6 22xxx order which 118 out of 151 will go to Oradell first. Rest goes to Fairview however it is still undetermined if they decide to give Fairview all 33 or just 26 and the 7 goes to Wayne. Cheers!
  10. Deadline was extended due to recent grant to add 4 more buses making it a total of 12 buses. Finally on June 9 2021, NJT received their bids. A notice of award is imminent. We will know soon. ————- Proposals Due for: Request for Proposal No. 20-058, (12) “40-Foot Battery-Electric Powered Transit Buses" No Fee** To obtain a copy of the RFP & Proposal submittal instructions please send an e-mail request to intakeunit@njtransit.com. Please include your complete mailing address and business contact numbers.
  11. There are temporarily Assigned to Oradell until year 6 begin to trickle in at end of year 22xxx buses
  12. Finally the final count of the original 6 year contract comes to a close. There is a "spinoff" of the options not exercised and now part of a planned 172 RFP release by end of this year. Now I am eager what the new bus specs will be that calls for a cruiser type bus. 40 foot? 45 foot? What type of propulsion? By time the RFP is published and selection is made, the product lines for NFI/MCI will be producing the next gen D Lines. I also don't see any another bus company that can compete with NFI in terms of meeting NJT road map goals.

  17. Here is the latest from Oradell garage: bus 21191 is temporarily being used as a test bus for maintenance at Oradell bus depot. There are making modifications to the service pits to “make it work” Also they determined Oradell can only function up to 160 45 footers at the facility. So, the recent approval to authorize 118 buses of the final year 6 . 37 of them will go to Oradell sometime end of 2021 into 2022. I say it will be 1st quarter 2022 Oradell will have ( 37) 45 footers from year 6. The rest of the allotment will be based on a separate and new bus order that will first go out as a RFP by beginning of 2022. Concurrently plans will change depending on the progress of the northern bus garage project. stay tune
  18. Court Record Bergen County Civil Case #4475 20 The legal battle has come to a closed on May 14th 2021. The court has certified the legal decision granting NJT to pay the land owners. Any moment now, the official deed will be recorded at the Bergen county court house which will show the new owners of the land, NJT Corp. next stage of project is official release of design and planning. Still a way to go to actual breaking ground and construction.
  19. OPRA 210504-479129 5 days ago, I have submitted an OPRA request to inquiry about year 5 (334) and year 6 (118) bus allocation since there has been a change of assignments to both NJT garage and private carriers allotments. I officially got a response and they ask for more time and should have a complete picture by May 28th 2021.
  20. Here she is, the public sector variant that will replace the D4500CT. Meet the 2021 and beyond marketed D45 CRT Commuter coach for public sector. Note the website mcicoach.com has been completely redesigned today with their new lineups. There is a high chance the RFP of 172 NJT cruisers buses that will go out end of this year into next year, MCI will submit their bid offer with this commuter coach above. The official brochure of the D45 CRT should be released this month. Expect this bus to arrive to NJT as a demo later this year.
