  1. I always wonder why Park Ave doesn't have a bus route.
  2. All of the 2002 buses at Castleton are also trackable.
  3. The S89 can be physically untrackable because all of the 2002 MCI's at Yukon minus 2882 aren't trackable and all of the 2002 MCI's are used on the S89 for the rush hours. You can only see a few buses on the map during the heart of rush hour.
  4. No 7:00 PM QM1 tonight either, they do have the 7:03 PM QM5 (And mabye the 6:43 PM QM5 going via Fresh Meadows)
  5. The QM3 is having issues again, all 3 buses for the evening rush are within 20-25 minutes of each other.
  6. Riding 4229, which has reversed seating the rear looks far more spacious. However the last row of seats are still double seats.
  7. 4229 is the only NG to have reverse seating. Otherwise the back can be cramed on the S79.
  8. Nah, as of 10:38 PM every subway line is "Good Service".
  9. I'm actually making a movie for school about that, LOL.
  10. I'm not sure, never saw them printed though.
  11. NYCT: Weekday schedule, however, SI limiteds (minus S89 and S93) and a few Queens limiteds don't run. MTA Bus: Weekday schedule for local buses, some Queens limiteds don't run and express buses are on a "reduced schedule" (Basically every hour). MTA Bus Schedules: http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/SpecialBusSchedules_11_2016.htm#Queens
  12. Doesn't look like Queens is doing so well for express bus service this PM rush. 1. The first QM18 left on time at 4:35 PM. as of 6:27 PM, It is still doing its run with 31 minutes left to go, the bus should have gotten to the terminal at 6:00 PM, now it isn't going to arrive there until around 7:00 PM. 2. The 5:05 PM and 5:35 PM QM3 buses are 5 minutes apart, not good for a route that runs on 30-minute headways. 3. QM5 bunching, 3 are regulars, while one is a super express bus. 4. QM20 bunching, 3 are super expresses while one is a regular bus.
  13. Don't the B/O's change every few months because of a new pick, which means that you can't have the same bus driver forever?
  14. I also remember at 5th and 40th there would be one line. Even though the X10B, X14, and X12/42 were stopping at the time. I needed the X10B or the X14 to go home and when one of them pulled up, confusion would rise about who was going on and who wasn't because some people would just stand there without saying a word.
  15. In the city and in most places in Staten Island, there's almost always a line for express buses. And people would go off on you if you skipped their spot in line or if the bus doesn't stop directly in front of the bus stop. I remember taking the X14 on summer and the B/O stopped behind an X15 at the bus stop to save time and people made angry faces at him.
  16. If I'm in the city I don't do that since the express bus stops are always separate from the local bus stops. I only do that if I'm at a stop that is shared with a local bus and no one else is waiting for the express bus.
  17. Hasn't happened to me yet, fortunately. I always wave my MetroCard out like I'm hailing a taxi if I want the express bus.
  18. I was taking the SIM1C to the QM11 last month to my grandma's house from school and when the SIM1C pulled up, he just asked me if I was going to Manhattan. Probery thought I was waiting for the S78/79 since I'm a student. I always fear the day when an express bus B/O passes by me, not picking me up because I'm a student and they assume that I'm waiting for the local bus.
  19. According to BusTime Limited service is back on, the website isn't updated yet though.
  20. There's no Limited service on Staten Island execpt for the S89 and S93, do these routes make local stops when Limited service is suspended?
  21. I remember taking the S57 to Port Richmond (6:40 PM bus) and that bus was an half hour late due to this. It had to be detored via Gannon/Manor/Victory and was also 10 minutes late from the start. It came bunched with the 7:10 PM bus. However they did add buses where they were needed since a bus broke down at Seaview (S57 buses love to break down there for some reason) and to fill in the hour + gaps in service. I saw gridlock traffic on the SIE WB. I can bet some Downtown workers went up to Midtown to catch an "via NJ" bus after they heard of this accident.
  22. Recently I was on the S89 and 2 girls got on by the mall and attempted to farebeat. The B/O called them over and refused to move the bus until they pay the fare. One had a Student MetroCard (which is free) and another one had to find a regular MetroCard with money.
