  1. I agree. 3 SIM6 buses just passed me too. With 3 SIM10 buses.
  2. Also I just passed a SIM6 with a 4 character run number. (What does the B stand for though?)
  3. 6:06 PM 4 Bricktown Mall S78 buses are bunching in New Dorp (2 are only dropping off passengers to save time).
  4. They can't seem to get the stops right on the S57. Port-Richmond bound it just freezes after the hospital. At least it's better than telling you the wrong stops.
  5. 2765 has been moved around a lot in the past few months.
  6. Or just convert the 6:50 AM Bus into a rush hour SIM3.
  7. Happens a lot on the SIM1 and SIM10 routes. A couple weeks ago, I remember seeing four Jamaica Bound Q60 buses bunching near the QC Mall.
  8. I was thinking that too with my SIM3C trips that came bunched on Saturday. I was on the late 6:50 AM bus to Midtown and the 7:10 AM was right behind it. I thought, wouldn't it make sense for the late 6:50 bus to skip the Narrows Road and have the 7:10 make the stops since that bus was carrying air? Mabye it's a policy?
  9. I also think that cabs and other vehicles should only be allowed to pick up/drop off passengers on the left side of the street. The cabs are blocking the bus lanes way too much.
  10. I'm thinking that some streets in Manhattan should be bus-only (like the Fulton Mall in Brooklyn) That should boost the speed of buses. I was thinking that 5th Ave south of 57th street could be a good street to make Bus-Only as well as 42nd street.
  11. Another thought, the 9:00 PM SIM3C bus to Midtown on Saturdays goes back with the 10:30 PM Bus to Port Richmond. Meaning that the 11 PM, 11:30 PM and 12 AM buses are all deheads from Staten Island. Since the Midtown Route is reasonably quick at that time, wouldn't it be reasonable to convert those deheads into Midtown SIM3C trips? New trips would leave at 9:30 PM, 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM and come back on the 11 PM, 11:30 PM and 12 AM trips, respectively.
  12. I saw that happening with the X10 back in July. Comming home on the 8:30 PM X10 and at 9:53, the 9:05 X10 is leaving Port Richmond. Also I remember the last S57 (10:00 PM to New Dorp on a Sunday) leaving 50 minutes late.
  13. Mabye people got tired waiting for a shuttle bus just to be cramed because a bus can't hold as much as a train could.
  14. There was an L shuttle bus every 1-3 minutes. Maybe it was for extra capacity since a train can hold much more people than a bus.
  15. Question: Do Subway Shuttles have a schedule? Or do they just show up whenever they want?
  16. IMO, I think that there should be a Student MetroCard that is accepted on express buses for students that go to school in a different bourgh.
  17. In addition to this the 13:00 SIM3C trip to Port Richmond was around 15 minutes late and the 13:30 SIM3C trip to Port Richmond was bunched as well. (The 13:30 trip was near schedule but IDK why there was another SIM3C bunched with it even though the 13:00 trip left around 13:15. Maybe it was the 12:35 trip running an hour late?) Both of the SIM3C trips I took today came bunched on 20-30 minute headways.
  18. Earlier I saw an M14 bus to 8th Ave. Not a M14A/D. Just a plain old M14. I don't think that a regular M14 ever existed.
  19. Welcome to Saturday Morning SIM3C issues! Here are some highlights of the morning. 1. The 6:30 AM trip to Midtown left around 15 minutes late. 2. The 6:50 trip to Midtown didn't show up but came bunched with the 7:10 trip to Midtown, leaving a 40-50 minute gap in SIM3C service when the buses are supposed to be running on 20-minute headways at the time.
  20. It happened before, They usually add shuttle bus service and people are also rerouted to the S74/84 and S78 bus routes.
