  1. I'm on 5373 right now on route 770 Paterson bound. I must say, you're right about Newton Ave Garage taking care of their Nabi suburbans bro. Inside looks clean and has the blue vinyl seats in good condition. Sadly, just give those buses a couple of weeks before they get screwed
  2. That's sad bro. This is one of the reasons why some newer buses are on the operating table instead of our on the road rolling in very good condition. It's sad that most of these garages don't take pride in maintaining their buses and keeping the exterior of the bus looking sharp and professional
  3. On NABI suburban bus 5372 on the 171 line to Paterson. I don't know why this bus all of a sudden came up north from Washington Twp garage..if I'm correct, to Market Street garage. I do notice that Market Street's buses are trash, therefore fallen apart ( breakdown). Who knows if 5372 is loaner or permanent stay. Bike rack is on the bus. Could there be more South Jersey buses coming up north to Market Street Garage or any other garage? I would like to know
  4. Agreed! I believe both Hilton and Meadowlands will split on the new batch of XD60s, unless the new Union City Garage opens by 2024 Transit might put some there
  5. On 19110 right now this morning on the 171 route heading into NY.
  6. Huge shout out for Wayne on helping with trips on routes 171, 175 and145 on the regular that I've either seen or rode on. Perhaps some of their buses are housed in Market Street garage because Market Street has a equipment shortage. I even saw 45's make rare appearances on the 74 and this month on the 712 route. I'm waiting for the day that a XD60 shows up on a Market Street route haha
  7. It seems that way. They have the Oradell decals on them and they been at Oradell for months now
  8. You are right sir. Oradell has strictly 22000s, both white and black backs and the old D4000s. Westwood having some of the 21000 series ( former Meadowlands), 21100 ( some former Meadowlands except the 21190s ) series and 21300 white & black backs
  9. Yeah, don't give that route to Market Street. There's a Wayne driver driving a Wayne MCI on Market Street's route 175 G.W.B - Ridgewood via GS Plaza and B.C.C line on the regular on weekdays.
  10. If awesome diecast can get MTA NYC Transit, LACMTA, CTA, WMATA, Miami- Dade Transit, Dallas and other transits to put their branding on its diecast models, you would think that NJ Transit wouldn't be a problem. Yep, NJT had a transit store many moons ago on the second level near the pedestrian bridge and or across from the third level escalator going to PATH's track "H". They had a lot of stuff. Trains in N, HO and O scales, ALP electric and GP40 diesel engine in their colors, rail cars, Flxible Metro "D" HO scale diecast, apparel, mugs, vintage trains, maps, umbrellas, some Thomas The Tank Engine toys amongst other things that would normal see in a transit store. This new store is like a kick started..starting off with bland apparel
  11. All I can say is that they ( NJT) better partner with Awesome Diecast to get their colors I New Flyer XD60 diecast, The RTS T80-206 series in both the tri color slant (95-96) and the wave (99-00). Not to mention the Flxible Metro New look and GMC Fishbowl. I've talked to the person of Awesome Diecast months ago about getting the XD60 in NJT colors, but he told me he couldn't because Transit wouldn't allow it
  12. I had a ball going into their transit store in Penn Station a long time ago. I was buying as many Flxible Metros as I could amongst other things. I can't say that they should've never closed that store
  13. I'm sure those D45CRT standard floor cruisers are going to Wayne and some possibly to Meadowlands to replace the 9000s and 7100s. Oradell should definitely have all of their 40 foot MCIs replaced by the 22000 white back MCIs and they'll be housed in Oradell garage. Fairview may have their ex-Wayne 9000s replaced by the white backs as well. It's just a guess on my part
  14. Not even a bus operator, but I definitely feel you on that bro. At times I feel like that XBL lane has shrunk. Be careful bus ops on that XBL and the opposite traffic coming your way, especially other bus ops and truck drivers
  15. Dave, refresh my memory. How many MCIs are in the 22000 series from start to finish? I thought 22088 would be the highest series number. With this breaking news of yours, I'm wrong
  16. Dave, refresh my memory. How many MCIs are in the 22000 series from start to finish? I thought 22088 would be the highest series number. With this breaking news of yours, I'm wrong
  17. They ought to start putting in an RFP for new artics right now on top of the RFP 550 40' clean diesel bus order
  18. I think that's just a P.R. move by having those buses what looks like it's wrapped in a green leafy scheme. Before you know it, the future orders will be in the original wave. Remember when NJT had the original Hybrid electric MCI D4000s? One was decked in an awesome smoke TRI color scheme. It had to be a demo of a scheme of sorts. Before you know it someone decided to have them in the wave scheme just like the rest of the MCIs. A regular passenger couldn't even tell the difference between a diesel and an electric.
  19. Market Street needs them badly. The MCIs they have, some are hand me downs and most are beat up. I'm sick of riding them Market St trash Nabi Suburbans and transits on the GWB lines, especially route 171
  20. I like your idea of the local routes moved to the rebuilt Union City garage. Meadowlands would have enough space to accommodate more articulated buses, especially if NJT all of a sudden puts in a RFP bus order for articulateds. They can return Hilton's 4 ( 20825- 20828 or so artics right back to the garage
  21. If they're rebuilding Union City garage, then that's good news for the articulated buses. Shift some of the suburban and transit models to Union City and while adding additional articulated buses at Meadowland
  22. I'm sure the dispatch contact any Wayne driver's that are free from their regular trips and ask if they want to do a round trip or more on certain local lines from Market Street. The reason for this I believe is because of driver shortage due to call outs. That's why you'll see some cancelled trips due to "driver unavailability". It's why in the past you may see an artic on route 26 and route 99. From a driver's point a view who elects to do extra trips, there's nothing wrong of making your paycheck fatter. From a passengers standpoint, you'll get a treat of riding an MCI on a local line and grateful that your trip is not cancelled
  23. Forgot to mention this earlier today. Back to back days of Fairview's ex-Wayne MCIs on the 175 and 171 respectfully. Saturday coach 9007 was on the 175. Told myself the reason for that is because of Market Street's bus broke down at either Bridge Plaza or at G.W.B. Well today, I saw coach 9016 on the 171. Again, another broke down trash of Market Street or could it be Fairview is moving some of their 9000s to Market Street. Now I know during the weekdays Wayne has help out Market Street Garage with trips on the local lines, such as route 74. I was on a couple of those trips with an MCI. Second, there could be some trippers that Wayne has on the 171 or 175 during the rush
