  1. As for the corrections, thanks guys, as I did not know that in specific. Still happy that there are so many changes coming to the Jamaica Lines in the near future. As for my being overtly dramatic, I will take that as cheerful banter.
  2. Wow. Amazing how nothing new has been posted here for at least a month. I go on a vacation from the boards and come back, and there is at least 20 or so pages that I have to catch up on. There is no sarcasm from me when I say good times, indeed! I love these forums!!!!!!!! Now, as for the news of the R32s seeing service along 6th Avenue/Queens Blvd, I am excites to see how this works. I have been enjoying taking the 32s on the Jamaica Line (at all times of day/night) and am very happy to know that the will get something other than those R160s. I just hope that the riders don't complain too much about the trains when they arrive in that section of Manhattan. I have equally enjoyed the catching of the R143s on the Jamaica Line. I don't think I can ever recall a time in the subway's history when they had four distinct car types on one line (the having the R143s, The R160s, the R42s, and the great R32s all at once). I do not understand why folks dislike the R32s. Yes, the brakes need some attention and the banging underneath the surface is worrisome on some minor level, but other than that, the ride is just fine and it beats having those damn computer voices kicking and screaming at all times of the night. I just hope that the and continue to get this royal treatment. I cannot begin to tell you all how glad I was to hear that the R32s will see 60 years of customer service. It is truly a thing of beauty and timelessness. As a 25 year old man in the city, I enjoy the witnessing of a representation of Classic NYC Subway. I just hope that the R42s enjoy the sunlight as much as their cousins the R32s are. I also hope that the R42s last the next 7-8 years right along with the 32s. Who's with me on this? Who else out there is enjoying the Classic NYC Subway Through the Jamaica Lines?
  3. 3992, 3998, 411, 4130-4132, and 4134 have moved from QV to CS. Also, 8112 was spotted on ze Q556 this afternoon.
  4. I saw it on the B26 Friday night. Didn't know that FP was with the practice of borrowing buses.
  5. 9540 came to FP from Grand, still has its stickers though. Also 7246 at GA.
  6. In the case of 9384 and 9386, it would be hard to say, since they both were at GA for over a year before making the mecca to Quill in March.
  7. Caught 7242 on the Q59 tonight, heading towards Maspeth. Also saw 8099 on the Q56 when I returned to Jamaica tonight. Soo glad that the LFS order has gone into full swing.
  8. The thing is the R32s work soooo much better out of ENY than they do anywhere else. Not for nothing, those R32/R42s are on a roll at NIGHT!!!!! I hate the R160s on the Line (just because I know that I can catch an R42 or R32 on the Jamaica Line, lol)
  9. 7244 and 7245 at GA, both on the Dekalb Line. Also, 9488 has been at Grand for awhile.
  10. It would be even better if all of the R32s were moved to the Jamaica Line, and all/most of the R160s were transferred to the 8th Avenue Line.
  11. All I know is that I love catching those R32s and R42s at Night on the Jamaica/Nassau Line. Those R32s can go on another 10-12 years if they aty put as they are now. My only hope is that they will gain some sort of reprieve after 2016 and still be active even after the R179s come around. Those cars from the 1960s are sooooo damn durable its not even funny. Not to mention it will likely save the MTA some money.
  12. 7235 caught on the q59 tonight. 7238 is also there at GA.
  13. So am I. I am sooooooo happy catching R32s and R42s on the Nassau/Jamaica Line AT NIGHT!!!!!!!
  14. Bombshell Tonight!!!!! 7235 and 7236 are at Grand Avenue, along with 9658.
  15. So is Grand Avenue losing their Next Gens, as well? I sure hope not. Just as long as 4701 and 4702 stay put. Any who, 9397 is gone from GA. Sent to OF.
  16. @Calvin all I can say is thank goodness those "Freebies" are still at GA. i caught 7224 on the Q59 today near QCM, I am ecited to see which of the NOVAS will remain at the depot when all is said and done.
  17. Great. I love the Palindrome buses. For example: 7117 (ENY); 6446 and 8008 (QV); 6556 (FP); 7227, 9449, and 4554 (GA); 7337 and 4224 (FB); 7447 (CS?) Forgive me as I am a nerd at heart, lol. Also, 7224 was seen on the B60 this morning, along with 7226. Its hard to believe that GA is getting more of the new buses. Great news!!!! Can't wait to catch one of these buses on the Q44 if/when it arrives at Casey Stengal next year!!!!!! Also, what ever happened to the Free buses that came in with the Hybrid order, 4701 and 4702? Did they move to the Bronx or are they still somewhere in Brooklyn?
  18. This is not a post about a sighting, but I caught 7123 on the Q24 last night and I was surprised by the change in the seating on that bus. The seats were completely different from that of the other XDs that have hit the scene as of late. Has anyone else had the chance to notice that some of the buses have different seat designs from the rest of the Xcelsiors? I must say that I liked the seats on 7123 a lot better than the other Xds, to be honest.
  19. Is JAM losing all of its Orions to Casey? Is Fresh losing its Orions to Gun Hill?
  20. I'm just glad that UP won't be getting those LFS'. I hope never to catch one on the B6 ever again. I am also glad that QV will only be getting a little more than 20 buses, as they flood the Q43 and other like routes. I also hope that the 2011 XDs over at ENY ake the move to GA as a result of these developments. 5036 is at Flatbush from Ulmer Park. Also 9597 is at QV, from God Knows where.
  21. Are those buses there for maintenance work or are they new transfers? Either way, that's awesome, especially as I predicted that this could/would happen at some point. Man, GA sure does love the older fleet, doesn't it?
  22. I'm none too sure that the drivers at these depots agree with most of what you said. First, as far as the new equipment, I highly doubt that the average non-busfan, the everyday commuter, cares very much about the fleet that they are given. Give or take the older passengers that prefer the low floor buses, I am sure a lot of commuters rather have reliable service (with respect to time and scheduling as opposed to the fleet age) than a specific bus. This is JMO. As for FP, GA, and QV, these depots have a stockpile of the 1997s in store. While I would love to see more XDs in Northern Bklyn, I am perfectly happy to wait a couple of months before most of the classic RTS' are put out to pasture for good. 9597 to QV, 9697 at GA along with 9383.
  23. 9697 on the B62 tonight with GA decals, if not reported prior. Also, I caught 7134 on the B25 tonight. The thing is FP and GA do well with their older fleet. I will say that I wouldn't be surprised if they are the last depots in Brooklyn to receive all of their newer equipment (XD40s), which would be just fine with me.
