  1. I am glad that JAM is giving some of their Hybrids away to GA and Stengal. Now if only QV got in on the action over there.
  2. 6299 I saw yesterday on the B57 in Maspeth. I thought that the GA Depot was putting these Vs out to pasture?
  3. 4700 is also at Stengal. Its on the Q44 at this very moment. Also, 9462 is on the Q43 tonight. I'm starting to wonder why Grand and Queens Village are swapping buses. Is it a mileage thing or something else going on?
  4. I'm not asking questions here, but I will say that I hope if/when all is said and done, if all of the RTS' at GA and QV have to retire that I hope both depots get some 1999 Novas or just some more NGs. Also, great news that JAM is losing their Hybrids. With the LFS' coming in, those hybrids should go over to Stengal or even Queens Village. Maybe FB will give some more buses to GA when their XDs start to surface.
  5. 9679 has been at the GA Depot for the longest time, yet not recorded by therosters. Also, is 9357 at GA or QV? Speaking of QV, 3998, 4127, and 4130 have made the mecca to QV.
  6. 9654 is on the B62 tonight in Dumbos. Right along with 9685. I'm so psyched that the 96xxs finally got to this depot!!!!!!!!!!
  7. 9684 and 9686 are on the B60 right now. I did also see 9694 on the B39 at WBP earlier today. I must say though that I do wonder about a few things regarding this depot. For instance, when/if GRand Avenue receives the newer/older XD40s, what will become of the 93/94/95/96xxs that the depot has inhabited over the years. I do see a few of the 95/96xxs staying put as the new deliveries will not be enough to cover all of the runs that the depot has. Also, now that it seems that the Orion Vs are receiving their retirement papers, it seems likely that the depot (along with FP and maybe even FLatbush) will have a few younger RTS' along with XDs and Orion 7s. I also hope that Queens Village receives some more NGs from JFK, as they need to do something if they wish to replace their RTS' as well. Thankfully they are only getting 20 new buses to combat the 90+ ld generation Novas.
  8. Honestly, since both GA and FP are the Brooklyn North Depots that are seemingly reserved for saving mileage for older buses, I wouldn't be too surprised if ENY and/or UP gave those two aforementioned depots their 48xxs and took the factory fresh buses for themselves. Would you guys mind that or wouldn't care as long as the Grand and Fresh Pond didn't receive "junk" from other depots around the city?
  9. Somehow this post came to mind while reading this. Either way, if GA gets to keep either the Novas that they have or the Vs that they got last year (or somehow managed to keep both like Stengal is supposedly doing when all is said and done) in addition to the XDs that are arriving in 2 years, then I (and possibly a lot of Bklyn Northerners) will be very happy. http://www.subchat.com/buschat/read.asp?Id=283133
  10. I am sorta happy for them as well. I just wish that they would get their bath of newbies (they are supposedly getting more than every other depot this go around at 76 xd40s) last so that the 1997 Novas and 1998 Vs could last a little longer. They are all work horses. I also wish QV would get the third pair of buses that Jam is set to receive so that their Novas won't be outplaced so quickly. But I am glad that so many 96xxs are making the mecca to Maspeth as I hope GA keeps them. 9626 is now there on the Q59 this morning.
  11. Can anyone confirm that either 9357 and/or 9624 is at Grand Avenue? I heard that these buses were there now.
  12. Boy, I hope so. As far as I am concerned, they can send all of the remainders of those buses over to Grand Avenue and Queens Village. Also, I do feel that QV should be last to get new LFs in the entire system. That and Maspeth should receive their XD40s last, just like Gleason did a few years ago.
  13. Happy to know that GA will not be neglected here yet sad to hear that GA will lose some of their older buses. I wish that they could get the ZFs as they will likely be the last of the Nova RTS' to do service at NYCT. GA should definitely get the last of the order as they already have new buses. 76 buses are too many for that depot (like I can picture seeing those buses on the B47 or B57 and B60 mostly). I am going to seriously miss the 9600s and 6300s. Need to catch them while they are here.
  14. Makes little sense, seeing as 8090 is not that different from the other 90 buses that were delivered nearly four years ago. Those buses passed the 30-day inspections. Why wouldn't these buses meet the standard also?
  15. Wow. Those New Flyers are not wasting any time arriving, are they? Better get them '9 Novas and Orion Vs while they are still around. Btw, does anyone know when NovaBus number 8091 and so on will arrive out in Queens?
  16. 9679 was on the B24 yesterday. ITs a GA bus. Also, 9685 was on the Q59 at Bridge Plaza.
  17. 9484 GA to QV. Was on the Q43 this afternoon with the decals to boot.
  18. 4132 is also at QV. Been there for a while now. Yet the rosters do not reflect that fact.
  19. 4131 was on the Q36 with Queens Village Decals. I'm so glad that QV is getting more hybrids of the next generation.
  20. What is going down coming this winter? Any interesting swaps or anything like that?
  21. That's according to you. I just noticed these things this past weekend. The same way i stated almost a month ago that 4132 made the mecca along with 3992, 4116, and 4134 to Queens Village, yet it was never recorded on the rosters/platforms.
  22. 4935 is at East New York (B83). 5264 is at Casey Stengal (Q44).
