Totally off topic but if anyone is interested, Airbus has officially taken over (controlling interest) the C-Series Jet program and has renamed it the Airbus A220. At this point it looks like Bombardier Transportation will become a shadow of it's former self.

In regards to 3937, it may have been there at the time of posting by “The Real” but it’s defintely at OH. A roster could be posted at 12 and things can change at 12:01.
On 7/14/2018 at 1:39 PM, Brillant93 said:Why is WF keep getting JG buses? I know the assignments were revised. Do they have to get rid of their Orion’s so that’s why they’re getting buses?
The B35 is not ready to start Articulated operations, and the buses need to go somewhere in the meanwhile. Unless the assignments change, they will head to their proper depots in time.
As far as most of the other questions go, I’m ignoring them as I have repeated to state over and over that I will address most everything when I’m done with the fleet review and fully update the first page. You all are starting to sound like children that keep asking “Are we there yet?”
Patience children.... Patience.

Do you mean 9510-9584?
No. The order is for 10 pilots and 275 production buses.
285 total. 9500-9784

I will get to the other questions when I do the updat but as I stated before unless something changes, Manhattanville is first on the list for hybrids to my knowledge.
1 hour ago, MHV184 said:Why won't they take diesels right now? I mean they used to have RTS's and plus those hybrids and NGs are also diesel so what's the problem?
Those are Diesel-Electric hybrids. MV was mandated all hybrid by MTA long ago. They have in the past had the occasional RTS to make service, but those days are over. Every depot in NYC used RTS at one time or another.
In addition to all that, there is a new agreement in place with Columbia and the city to make MV the “greenest” depot. I would also assume that they are on the list for electric buses as well.
Again I ask that you all hold off on all the questions until everything is complete. Many of them will be answered. This included the timeline for delivery of hybrids 9710-9784 and a slew of other things. I’m working on it now.

Thank you. The LFSA assignment is a typo as well as the XN60’s with 1053.
The Quill batch still has to be added as well as all the additional new information I mentioned in the moves and transfers thread. The first page isn’t fully updated as of right now. The depot information is also out of date.
As far as the new XD60’s to Bus Company, once they come in they won’t need extra buses. The incoming order is for more buses than they have right now from Transit. So next summer they won’t need to borrow anything.
Again, try to wait for all my updates to be complete before we get into discussions about the rest of the fleet. I will be finished soon.
in addition to all that in the future would you please not quote that title post. It takes up a lot of space. Just quote the section you want to reference.

Can you explain what you are talking about here? I’m lost.

Major updates on the Fleet & Depots title post, and many more coming including the pending delivery dates for new buses, (including the start of the MTA bus XD60 option order) and confirmed dates for a few depot projects, ENY’s artic modification completion date, SI North Shore SBS, and more.
New Bus delivery overview:
EN now has (10) 7667-7671, 7673-7677
FB now has (35) 7616-7625, 7629-7648, 7651, 7653, 7655-7659
JA has 7484
WF now has (24) 1001-1015, 1072-1074, 1076, 1077, 1079-1081, 1083-1084
JG has 1075, 1078, 1085

Stengel is the test depot for the base order and the options. Only new features are the cameras on the exterior and the new production information screens in the inside.

I’m going to revise the assignments by this evening. This includes XD40, XD60, and XN60 assignments.
EN isn’t getting any attics anytime soon so as stated they can and will likely change again.

They do it with all new buses coming in.
Edit: Not necessarily. Now and then orders have a “0” pilot requirement. The next batch of LFSA’s will only have a lead bus. Likely 5531. There is no pilot requirement for these buses because the went into production prior to delivery of the last of the base order. That means MTA can use the current pilots (5439-5432) for audit if the option buses.
In the case of the XD60’s, (6126-6139) there was a break in production and added specs from the newer Xcelsior fleet.
8504 is also a pilot and is scheduled to spend 30 days at Gun Hill.

Ok... I feel like I’ve said this 200 times and now I’m starting to get annoyed. This thread is for moves and transfers. If you want to have these other types of discussions and questions about the fleet please do so in the Fleet and Depots thread. I’m dead ass about to suspend instant posting of like 5 people and that means everything you post will have to be approved by a staff member.
Excuse my language, but I’m tired of saying the same shit over and over again. I can show you better than I can tell you and it seems that a few of you won’t get the picture until you see the flash......

Ok this is getting totally out of hand. When the either of us get the information it will be posted here. If anyone else gets to it before one of us, we will be sure to follow up.
If the information is not on the first page of this thread then that means you all need to be patient. Again, many questions are asked that are on that page and have been for quite some time. A minor update us coming but for the most part things are the same.
It takes time for a depot to become fully artic ready. It doesn’t happen over night, or in a few days, or in a couple months. This is obviously why 40 footers were slated to go to the 82 until all the logistics have been sorted out.
By the time EN gets artics the assignments could have changed another 6 times. Things are not they way they used to be and fleet changes are made according to availability and logistics these days.

Oh ok, thanks for the update bro. I haven’t checks the fleet plans in a couple months.

When’s the first delivery for the novas?
Plus why buses are going to CS. They can’t be that short. They are becoming another MJQ if u ask me (just thru observation).
51 minutes ago, S78 via Hylan said:Until those LFS’ come in (which we have no info about), YU will most likely get them back as they will be needed for school trippers.
Just a reminder fellas, check the first page of Fleet & Depots now and then because many of the questions you all ask and have been asking are already posted. I.e, the LFSA assignments have actually been posted for almost 2 months now and the LFS pilots will be pending audit soon. The first 2 are already built IIRC. Another example I noted was people not knowing about 0023. (Which is scheduled to operate out of UP tomorrow) Its been posted for quite a while as well.
Hybrids going to Bus Company was a bit more obscure, but It was also posted as to how many were going each year starting this summer.
I have also noticed that many questions being asked have been answered many times over. This is why I want to start restricting posts in this thread along with the Fleet & Depots thread. There's too many unnecessary discussions that push important information out of view, which in turn makes people ask the same questions over and over again.
Again this is just a reminder to all to look around here and there. Sometimes updates are made without a major post about it.

XD40: 7671, 7678, 7680
XN60: 1021, 1080, 1082
You should tread lightly... That's restricted area over there.

No more RTS to MTA. It's Orion vii ogs.
Don't say anything yet. Usually when FB gives away artics they get them back by the next pick.
Actually fleet plans call for Bus to have 25 RTS through 2019. I haven't checked to see if it changed yet.

1078 to JG. The 6000 series clearance testing buses have returned to their depot.
1010, 1011, 1014, 1076 to WF. 1074 has now been assigned to WF, however it has not yet arrived. It is still st the vendor facility.
9500-9503 all at Grand. The first BAE unit should be in audit next week.
Note: I meant to hit send on this hours ago and got sidetracked. 2 are mentioned above.

Large & long difference between 40s and 60s. There are tight turns especially between 163rd & Westchester and Polite Ave & back to 163. It’s an opposite “S” curve hilly. I don’t know if they ever tested an artic on the Bx6 before?
7 hours ago, JeremiahC99 said:Are those turns tight for a 40 foot bus?
Also, why didn’t they send any artics along the route for training?
Common misconception about artics. Especially New Flyer artics. They have a tighter turning radius than 40 footers. The front section of the bus is an XD/XN35. They can arguably make a few turns that 40 footers cannot make as well.
They have already run artics on the line for simulation purposes just as they have already on the B35.
As far as artics on the Bx6, I was told it just has to be worked into the schedule and individual runs. The Union fights the MTA over artic conversion every time a line is converted. That's nothing new.
38 minutes ago, T J Trainman said:Why are they sending XD60s to a CNG garage?
They are common so they can use them for line training and evaluation. Aka clearance testing.

Speaking of Grand Av, what in the world is going on with the Allison XDE40s?
They haven’t passed audit yet. The first BAE’s should be in by now as well.

One of the confirmed depot assignments for CTR LE #0023 will in fact be Ulmer Park.

Great news on this. Hopefully one of the Staten Island Depots and Ulmer Park get selected for the demo. Too bad we won’t be getting anymore D4500CT’s. The new CRT LE is 🔥🔥.
Seeing as the next major express order is for Bus Company (257 buses) I see it going to a Bus Company depot and possibly 1 TA depot. The next TA express order next year is for 50 buses only. These could end up being Double Deckers for Staten island while Bus could end up with new MCI's or Prevosts.

Yes we know. I show it as pending back to UP even though it shouldn't be.
Edit: Just checked. It will be reassigned by tomorrow.
