    Just got word, the MTA will not be doing the Long Island Railroad Shuttles this summer. Governor saw that the runs were damn near 59+ hours each, and revoked the work. 

     

    Shuttles will be operated by Coach USA. Buses will come in from the midwest from Dillions and Butler to help out.

    It's the XD60, jesus christ. The original 6099 is scrap crap.

     

    I'm going to need confirmation on this. But from what I am seeing, 6063 is at Grand Avenue.

     

    6059 was said to be there. It's no longer there.

    6063 is confirmed at Grand for training. It replaced 6059.

    There were some discrepancies. None of the busses have full paint. The first at Bus Comoany are all wraps. The latter and everything from them on the base is paint, and all the graphics and the rest of what appears to be paint is actually vinyl.

     

    Nothing will come delivered in Blue and White ever again. 5439 was the last of a dying breed. That era is now officially over.

     

    Paint is not only expensive, but heavy as well, which reduces the buses fuel economy.

     

    The first at MTA Bus are not all wrap. 5368, and 5412 up are based with blue and the graphics are decal.

    I'll give you an example: 5524 in its career, it started out at KB, went to MQ, then to OH and stood for its entire career until it got scrapped recently. Now another bus, 5611 stood in one depot for a while before it made one run at GH's Bx12 local

    KB got 5685-5714 brand new. Prior to this their highest 5500 was 5509 from the 1999-2000 order. 5524 was new to 100 street
