While walking back to work during my lunchbreak along Madison Av, I saw the M8's heading towards Conneticut around 98th St. They look fabulous. The trains are real shiny and the red stands out. The horn is no joke either, that's what made me look towards Park Ave to begin with. LOL I can't wait to ride these trains soon. This was around 1:40pm.

Bus 8948 is now with ECH from West Farms. In fact, it still has the West Farms logos on the bus.

8798 was at ECH. I rode on the Bx23 a couple of weeks ago. It's wild that it's back with NYC Bus.

I really wish this move wasn't happening. I think that the really should be buying all new cars for the if they really need to have new trains on that line and not do this retrofit stuff they are about to do to the R142A's but shit's already going underway and we the passengers are gonna have to pay for it. While the R62A's going back to the isn't the worst thing in the world, I think it's unnecessary. Hell I think the whole CBTC stuff is unnecessary, but that's just me. It is what it is and while I don't like what's about to happen, I accept it. Oh and you are fooling yourself if you think you are going to get a railfan window just becasue the R62A's are coming back to the . Just thought I'd add that in.

I don't know if this was asked so forgive me it was but don't you all think it would cost more to rebuild R142A cars than to just buy all new R188 cars? It just sounds like what the is doing is spending more than they need to, even if it comes from a different budget. What do I know, I'm just a straphanger. lol

I don't know if it's been posted yet but 8787 is now out of Eastchester. I rode it on the Bx23 last night. It still had the "(MTA) New York City Bus" logo and the West Farms sticker on it.

I was about to say, all these buses are leaving GH but where the hell are the replacements? First the Orion V's, now the NG's. What's next, the Nova's LFSA's? Damn!

I've been wondering with all Gun Hill's Orion V's going to other depots, what's replacing the buses being sent out? I don't see any new buses coming out of GH.

They have to be doing something with GH. They were just in GH like last month. I haven't seen anything come over in replacement of those buses. I don't know if I'd want to ride in Staten Island Orion V's in the Bronx. They're tore up from the floor up!
