  1. I think this was posted several times, whenever there is a G.O to QBP only, they mostly use R188s for its destination
  2. From what I know, and some one can correct me on this, 7899 set has been doing a series of cbtc test runs in the yard. For now it will remain as a cbtc tester so it wont be seeing passenger service anytime soon
  3. 7281 set was in service. That pretty quick, I thought they were still testing 7271 set. Do they delivery like 3 11 car sets at once?
  4. I saw 7300 being moved my a diesel. Guess that set is done
  5. Now that I think of it I never really seen an R142A side rollsign on the messed up. Then again the ones on the are actually starting to mess up with parts of it going out.
  6. 7271 is at corona yard now right if im not mistaken?
  7. It was probably being sent over to the flushing by crossing over the queens boro plaza junction
  8. that makes it ~ 14 sets on the 6 line now?
  9. Would this be possible and logical to happen? Seeing as if the current is currently doing and and alot of people like it, it looks like it will be staying that way. As for the 4th avenue line, it looks like it needs some help during the rush hours that the old brown used to provide. Would it be logical to bring back the the same route it was but instead but also bring down to 4th avenue local and go through the west end to bay 50th street like the old ? I mean I think that would be the best option for it since the will eventually be going to 2nd avenue
  10. then what would happen to that originals 6 car, 5 car set.
  11. Some one confirm this please, I have some doubt although it does seem highly plausible.. My friend told me that the R188's will permanently be coupled with each other in the sets they are because if one goes of the 5 or 6 car set goes out of service , The other will have to go out of service also. Ill explain better by giving an example 7811-7821 Is running and car #7820 has malfunctioning brakes. It is taken out of service and taken into the yard. Since 7820 is part of the 6 car set, the other 7811-7815 will just remain in the yard till the other part of it gets fixed and coupled back. Since its 5-6 car set, There would be no point of coupling the working 5 car set to another one since all of the 5 car sets will need a 6 car set. I tried to explain to him that I dont think it woudl really matter once the Corona yard is 100% NTT. But then doesn't seem to far fetched.
  12. Its not MTA, its the yards. Corona treats there cars way better then westchester. Heck, If you compared a R62A to a R142A from the 6 line, The R62A would look alot more cleaner.
  13. I noticed they at least cleaned the dirt and rust of the trucks. Thats at least getting some where lol
  14. Saw it at the 52nd street curve. Could have been a 6 car set, But I was able to see one of the number plates
  15. I saw a 5 car set R188 NIS going on the flushing bound local track, around 2AM, One of the car numbers I believe where 7887
  16. Theres no R160s going to the , The contract is complete and they are remaining where there are for now unless some changes happen. The is most likely gonna get the 211
  17. they still have some life left on them, there gonna be in service till the 211s come in.
  18. I noticed alot of the New R188s LCD signs have been going black. This is very common with the new sets. Do they plan on fixing it soon?
  19. any one know where the next converted set is? 7251? Still being converted at the barn?
  20. I know im late, But does any know the final and approved concept for the R179? Will it just be another looking R160 or a new front design?
