  1. Have you gone back in the posts? It was explained why they did this.
  2. Saw a picture somewhere of 7229 on a truck coming back from kiawasiki facility. Did they fix all the issues?
  3. sooo that means its gonne be back in service soon?
  4. So its not having problems, just having extra components being installed onto it?
  5. 7811, 7822, 7833, 7844 and 7860/7870 were all in service today, Although i did see another R188 set stored at the corona yard. It could possible be that one
  6. 7870 set is with 7860 and is now in service
  7. The could and has Run full 8 car R46 2 summers ago. They did it successfuly, Giving the R32's to the , in return making the 600 feet. CBTC as in, If they were installed the components would already be there. They can save alot more time and money this way.
  8. any one here got a word on the problem going on with 7211 set?
  9. I highly doubt that, seeing as if CBTC is now being installed on the QBL soon, Im 100% positive all new tech trains will come CBTC ready.
  10. Better yet, where the heck is 7855-7865
  11. To many members would start to create BS posts. Remember some poster said the R62As are gonna have CBTC and equpped with Digital signs? In all honestly Theres no need for a thread to it, We all know where they are going. B division has a much more Tendency to switch things up.
  12. They would get trains from other lines or other yards. Highly doubt the would be the one, Especially when theres more trains per hour form CBTC
  13. I wounder why 7844-7854 is taking so long to enter service. 7833-7844 entered service rather quickly
  14. I think there replacing the HVACs if im correct, To make it a bit lighter?
  15. Rode R188 7811 today, The car looks shiny again! I think they brought it through washing, The front end door chains wasn't hooked though, So I assume they were to quick to do it lol
  16. I remember some yard worker was complaining about the R62A because its single cars, Had to go through many inspections. Some people say the single car sets usually retire early then usual. But I think the guy was probably mad at the R62A's. The R62's have the pretty high MDBF if im correct
  17. They brake and power up differently, I believe it has to with dynamic braking. But as for everything else they are the same, The Material the R142 has doesnt seem to get as easily dirty as the R142As, But then the R142As look alot shinier, with good care, the R142A can outshine the R142. As for which train is better, It is PURELY based on opinion. No one train is better then the other. I can say the R1 is better the R142A and believe that the R1 is in much better condition the R142A. Again, Its all opinion. There is no right answer.
  18. Do people even notice that the old trains are taking over?
  19. They looked amazing after there goh, TO bad they got dirty quickly. Wish I was born around these times
  20. Could have sworn it was 10, Oh well at least we get 8 brand new R188 sets
