  4. I did hear it will be doing a 30 service run on the line, Just like how R160 had a 30 day service run on the and
  5. What if a big meteor just came and for some reason destroyed the mta HQ and all the workers fled to mexico?
  6. The quote just got my attention. Just had to. There even going to add extra tracks, sort of like a mini yard or what the one has around 103 street I think, to allow for extra service if something happened.
  7. haha welcome to corporate america. Why do you think everyone and america is going into extreme debt?
  8. Is the R62 Gonna stay for the next couple of weeks or leave after the SMS is done?
  9. Hey Bstyles, just curious there was a super pack V1 released some where?

  13. Reliable sources, im not talking any BS though, i did hear once the R142A they get retrofitted, the propullsion might also change, the MTA wants to make it all ALSTOM or near that propullsion. THats why the MTA cancalled the package of siemens for the , and just made it Alstom.
  14. Lol Kawasaki giving the MTA equipment for the Bombardier R142.
  15. im pretty sure im late, but now ill assume the R179 will be 60 foot subway cars? not 75 feet? and im pretty sure they will end up look just like the R160.
  16. I think so not sure, but i do know they were thinking about making it a bit longer.
  17. some of the platform dont go as far as 600ft on the line. When the R62s were first delieverd they thought about making it 4 ft longer, but all of the IRT lines couldnt support it cause of the sharp turns and narrow tunnels.
  18. i wouldnt go with canon, even though they make good products, they get away with there specs.you should also look into the new panasonic fz40,sony hx1,and some nikon bridge cameras,or just buy a used/refurbished budget dslr, they produce excellent quality photos, and there sensors are about 19.5x larger then a average bridge/P&S camera.
  19. ya,but wont there be like image cuts? since your putting lens that was meant for smaller sized sensors?
  20. depends on what you want.if you want to get shots of trains comming from a distance, get a telephoto lens. the most used is the 75-300mm if you want a shot of a train at the station, scenery, underground, interior then get a wide angle lens.these range from 16-70mm.the commonly used one is the 18-55mm. also be caurful on which ones you buy, some brands can cheaply make them casuing blur spots,or "blackouts" at the edges. i recommend getting, nikon lenses,as it was made for your kind of camera, and be caurful on what you buy, some lenses can be made to fit certain sensers, like the D700,it has a full frame sensor,so its end of the lens might bigger then a begginer DSLR lens.hope this helps!
