  1. The MTA released the plan for the FASTRACK: NYCT - Service Advisory Turns at 34th Turns at 34th, runs to Dyre Suspended Extended to New Lots Extended to Flatbush; runs to Wakefield ; local in Brooklyn (what about Manhattan?) Shuttle Bus 148-135
  2. ...still waiting on the NYCT Service Standards. The letter had an estimated ETA of 01/20/2012, so I expect it any time now.

And what other agencies do you want/think I should do? Keep in mind that most other agencies don't have online FOIL and require letters.

Sending a letter to SCT tomorrow.

  3. Then why didn't they switch it in both directions?
  4. Playing around with BusTime: Why does the x31 run via Brooklyn in the morning and NJ in the afternoon? It's not like it makes morning stops in downtown...
  5. mta.info | Fastrack Update Next board meeting is the week after next: a report will be submitted and I can't wait to see it!
  6. The MTA summarized the work that was done last night:
  7. The routes discontinued in 2010 are still on the list (305, 978, 979, 980) And 890/891 and Easton-Phillipsburg Line are the same thing, I think.
  8. Did you get the map?

  9. Got your PM. I happen to have 3 copies sitting around, I'll send one to you but will have to go to the station to get another one for Brett. BTW, MNR released the station data. I'm still waiting on the train data.

  10. The report states that each line will see a shutdown once per quarter. From the statements, I can infer that there will be no other late night GO's on these lines other than the shutdowns and that there will be a reduction in weekend work. Most of the ugly weekend GO's are on elevated structures, where night work rarely takes place. ( Culver, Bronx, Jamaica Av, etc.) It's those 24/7 ones that I don't like. The ones are fine (if ( service in the Bronx continues), but skipping Sutphin/Van Wyck/75 during AM rush will be a major pain. Add to that the closure of an entrance at Briarwood/Van Wyck to drive residents mad.
  11. I posted that on subchat, source is this: http://www.mta.info/mta/news/books/docs/LineSegmentClosure111114.pdf
  12. Metro-North replied saying to call to "narrow down your request". I guess that's because I also included West of Hudson and they don't have that data.

Should I call or just send in another request with the title "Re: (incident #)"?

  13. I thought Easton-Phillipsburg Line and 890/891 were the same thing? Delaware River Coach runs it with minibuses.
  14. It's one of those LTD's with no corresponding local (like Q100, M98, Q50). The stops it makes are supposedly "limited", but I don't think so. The express section sure is one of those reasons.
  15. I thought every profile had a YT link....I guess Harry removed this feature, since I remember filling in a text box with YT name.

    Anyway, it's youtube.com/LIRR175 I don't have that many videos.

  16. I don't know, they say they will state the amount of the fee in another letter, then send the document when they receive the fee. Of course I can always cancel when I get the fee letter.

  17. NYCT confirmed my request by snail mail (which is odd, since neither LIRR nor MTAHQ did so)

They said it could take 4 months and they emphasized the 25 cent per page fee.

  18. Request filed (NYCT service planning, MNR station and train counts)

    LIRR data here:

  19. What cost data? Bus routes? I'm not requesting historical data, sorry.

Anything else? (don't forget about MNR)

  20. LIRR replied to my FOIL request. They sent this:

    -LIRR tariff

-The same 2006 on/off counts that I already have

-2010 Ridership Book with counts for every single train.

I wonder which one I should send next? The coveted NYCT Service Planning Guidelines?

  21. If one entered C3 into the sign does it actually display something? That would be interesting to see on video.
  22. I know, I was looking for an update to that.
  23. Awesome information! What is the date of this? It has the Bx23/Q50, but not the QM16 to Beach 147th let alone 169th. If only you could post NYCT and LIB ones...
