  1. NICE needs to rewrite the N20/21 weekend schedule. CW Post/NYIT/Glen Cove Rd gets half hourly service on Sundays but not Saturdays. Maybe they could extend one of the Roslyn trips to CW Post and cut the other one back to Great Neck LIRR?
  2. Anyone still having problems logging into myNICE as of now? I think that because I was one of the first users to register (before they launched the interactive map), it may be me only.
  3. Easy way to find the interlinings: make a chart! Saturdays :00 N79 Hicksville :00 N22 Jamaica :01 N20 Flushing :10 N73 Wantagh :15 N22 Hicksville :30 N24 Hicksville :30 N22 Jamaica :30 N73 Hicksville :40 N79 Huntington :45 N22 Hicksville :47 N20 Hicksville :53 N24 Jamaica Sundays: :00 N22 Jamaica :09 N22 Hicksville :14 N20 Flushing :28 N24 Hicksville :30 N22 Jamaica :38 N20 Hicksville :39 N22 Hicksville :45 N79 Huntington :53 N24 Jamaica :55 N79 Hicksville Note that N49/80/81 can't be factored in because they have different terminal locations.
  4. It won't be a money waster if they run the owl bus to/from Beach 67th and shut down the Rockaway Park ...
  5. The old preprinted MTA signs were also reflective but it has since worn off. (I don't think those formed by number stickers were reflective) I overlooked it in the original post but the N78 stickers do say "peak hours only". N79-only stops have not had any changes yet.
  6. Still going on...past the GO period into the rush hour.
  7. I just had a look at the stickers in the dark: they are highly reflective, so maybe they're here to stay?
  8. Note that the Examiner is a self-published non-professional news site.
  9. Or could they just be these stickers, applied everywhere?
  10. Saw the updated signs today. The top (N78) half has been covered by an "n78 Hicksville" and the bottom (N79) half either remains unchanged or has the "Mineola" covered in white (not Hicksville).
  11. Never found this in my extensive monitoring of LIB news when it happened...looks interesting.
  12. Photobucket should give you a URL to link directly to the image. If it does not have "img" tags around it, put it in the image tool in the edit box. Otherwise just paste it in the post.
  13. Did you upload it to a hosting site like Imageshack? Once you do that you can take their "for forums" code and paste it right into the code box.
  14. GO > 1 hr runs long: This isn't the first time the GO didn't hand back in time...
  15. In my opinion, the OG's are riding and sounding better than before while the NG's are the same if not a bit rougher. The cleanliness has remained roughly the same.
  16. Each line 4x a year. Of course they won't be in order.
  17. Some changes I see that are not mentioned: -n20L now skips Old Northern Bl in the afternoon -Half hourly n20 Sunday service to CW Post
  18. Yes. Most of the time I see the route the Hicksville trips are way more crowded than the short turns. On Saturdays some of the short turns can leave Flushing with as little as 5 people on them, while the Hicksivlles have a seated load at a minimum.
  19. Apparently someone realized that sending the over the bridge or expressing the 4 Av while the was closed wasn't a good idea, it's been pulled last minute.
  20. What's the purpose behind the Grand St shuttle bus for the weekend/night closures anyway? Last I checked Bowery is within walking distance, and there's a free transfer at Essex St for 6 Av/Brooklyn service.
  21. There should be enough for 4 Av if the MTA forces people to go via Coney Island for the West End/Sea Beach lines. No chance in the world of busing Queens Blvd. PATCO, PATH, and SIR operate on 30 to 60 minute headways at night. Because their systems are small, they can single track without significant delays. I don't know how CTA does it. Single tracking won't work in NYC, just look at WMATA where passengers are told to expect 30-40 minutes of extra travel time.
