  1. Thanks for that clearing that up. I had forgotten that fareboxes had something to do with it.
  2. That specific unit is being preserved, so I believe it’s getting repainted to match it’s original appearance when it was first delivered.
  3. I think that happens because Bustime uses info for trips that are scheduled, not what actually happens on the road.
  4. Most likely those trips were running very late, so the dispatcher(s) could have had them run limited to make up time.
  5. Yes, I read it, and you contradicted your statement by saying “on a normal weekend the should never run” which has nothing to do with the . Futhermore, having the run local requires additional trainsets running, which in turn means MORE resources are used, not less. It’s easy for you to say: “Oh, just run X, Y, or Z line local and call it a day.” when you don’t ride those lines much.
  6. On a normal weekend the shouldn’t run? I don’t think you ride the line often. It’s ridership has and it still increasing and it wouldn’t be smart to have the pulling double duty, this making it prone to more unreliablity. You can’t just go with what looks good on paper. The last thing we need is services being cut, especially with the shutdown looming near.
  7. @EastNewYork can answer this, but I believe it was because the LFS model was chosen over the RTS. They’re built exactly the same as I understand. @Brillant93 The RTS aren’t only great mechanically, but they’ve been the most reliable in terms of standing room, speed, and other things. They’ve been running circles around the newer buses.
  8. Negative. The actually runs to Coney Island while the is rerouted to Euclid Av. As a result, the is cut back to 2nd Ave.
  9. It is as the service change runs all the way through the dates mentioned.

  11. The now runs 8 minute intervals on weekends barring any construction.
  12. Those specific cars have not been delivered as of yet which is why many keep asking.
  13. They leave at all hours, but as I checked bustime, it seemed the trip that was supposed to leave before mine never came.
  14. I’m on a crowded Q3 leaving JFK because the 10:20 trip was a no-show. Can someone look into what happened?
  15. Usually, it’s due to signal or electrical work rather than training. While you’re right that this has happened for some time, I wanted to point out the different reasoning. From an operational standpoint, I think is a good line to train new hires as it’s isolated from much of the system and less prone to delays. @paulrivera If you think this is a service cut, try dealing with the when it’s split at Broadway Junction with trains heading to Canarsie running every 24 minutes.
  16. Thankfully, I don’t have to deal with this as I drive to and from work.
  17. Negative. That would just move one merge from one location to another while severely delaying other lines.
  18. And then at some point, 9141 retired with a DD50.
  19. Delays Northbound and trains are running with delays because of signal problems at Jay St-MetroTech. Posted: 11/21/18 3:41PM Still happening as I’m caught in this at Broadway Junction. Edit: Manhattan bound trains are running local to Jay St-MetroTech.
  20. I’ve noticed that too, but she asked as soon I boarded. The only thing that bugged me was that she didn’t pull into the stand, forcing me to walk to the bus meanwhile there were no other buses or any obstructions occupying the bus stop.
  21. Any of you ever get on express bus and the B/O asks you where you’re going?
  22. I’ve ridden the SIM1/C, SIM2, SIM3c, and SIM10.
