  1. You're welcome, Paul. ^^

  2. *whistles* Hot diggetty dog, that was PERFECT! Fantastic scrolling animation! *applause*
  3. After reading your reply in the "Dugard" thread, now I understand why you weren't on throughout most of the spring. *hugs*

Paul, despite some of your infamous quirks, we still love you, and we don't want anything to happen to you. When you were absent, some were worried about what happened to you, for you were usually on every day. We respect you and wish you the very best that the joy of life can bring. We care about you and really respect you.

I'm glad that you're back on the right track! Keep your spirits high, and never let your depression get you down! :D

    -Alex

  4. If you have Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 or CS4, it'll be just as fine. ^^
  5. I posted in the Animated Luminator Bus Signs thread. I think this'll be some useful info for ya. ^^

  6. Illustrator is where I design my signs, but I use Photoshop to scroll my signs. The way I do it in Photoshop CS3/4/5 are these tools. 1. The Animation Window (Window ---> Animation) 2. Copying and pasting the layer constantly 3. Arranging the time allotted per frame (the frame of sign after the scrolling's completed is two seconds; each frame when transitioning from one frame to the next is either .04 or .03 seconds). 3A. Create as many frames as possible (by copy-and-pasting and ditching what I don't need). 4. Utilize the layer mask feature. 5. When I'm done, I save for the web as a GIF file. 6. (If necessary) Using guides to help dictate where I want to put in the in-between frames. My iMac may be a bit cluttered, but I still have original TIFFs/PSDs of some signs from a while back. ^^
  7. Critically, Cars 2 is the only one most consider mediocre. But I don't see a mediocre movie. Instead, I see a great one. It's not the level of Cars (if you ask me, Cars is an underrated classic that gets better and better after every watch), but it's still great enough to keep me entertained. Great lines, lots of laughs, and a good understanding of its audience: a mix of kids and adolescents. That said, if you dislike Mater, you're not going to like this movie. I do, and I don't understand why he's so hated. I haven't watched all of Pixar's movies, but there is only one I despise: the first Toy Story. The characterization of Woody and approach to his development felt SO off throughout most of the flick that I can't enjoy it. I hated it as a kid, and I still hate it today. My list is this: 1. Up 2. Wall-E 3. Cars 4. Toy Story 3 5. Toy Story 2 6. Cars 2 7. A Bug's Life 8. Toy Story
  8. I rented Cars from Netflix and watched it on a couple of times over the weekend. Honestly, I don't understand why anyone would dislike it or find it weak. Cars is FANTASTIC! It had a great mesh of character development, story, action, and heart. There were some very witty lines that had me dying of laughing along with a couple of scenes that teared me up a bit. One of the best Pixar movies I've ever watched with only Wall-E and Up eclipsing it. Now, because I watched Cars, I decided to see the second one this morning. After seeing some very mediocre reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, I became a bit worried, so I was a bit skeptical. Well, honestly, I loved Cars 2. It was very good. Full of action, some racin', and a great focus of Tow Mater (voiced by Larry the Cable Guy). Honestly, I don't understand why many people find him annoying. In Cars, he was the little helper who helped warm up Lightning McQueen's greedy, impulsive heart. In Cars 2, he appeared to be the same hilarious, absentminded, lovable tow truck. He was the main character, whereas Lightning was the star in its predecessor. But having the comic relief character doesn't mean the movie's bad. He was still so great, and I loved how I got to see sadness, anger, and doubt into him, even though there wasn't AS much. It gives Mater more depth. As for the plot, it's quite complex for a Pixar film (it's actually a spy spoof), but it was excellently done. Finn McMissle (an Aston Martin voiced by Michael Caine) was very convincing, and Holley Shiftwell was a great female protagonist. She grew on me, too, especially for appreciating Mater for who he is. While it isn't as great as Cars, this is one families and kids should love. Now bring on Brave, Pixar!
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyF_mi3ndI0 P.S.: Listen for the Endless Mine insertion in this remix. It's absolutely genius!
  10. Sonic Heroes may not be the best Sonic game, but it wasn't terrible. And Sonic Colors on the Wii was actually very good despite the cringeworthy characterization of Sonic.
  11. As a huge Sonic fan, I'm very stoked for the upcoming game, Sonic Generations. Not only will I get the chance to play Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic, but the info and anticipation for it gets me pumped. *goes back to listen to the City Escape "Classic Remix"; Generations is returning old zones with new layouts; City Escape is one of the levels in Generations*
  12. I need to start riding on the Orion V CNGs more before they are retired.
  13. Tell that cobra that escaped his cage in the Bronx Zoo that I'll be found in Da Hood.
  14. *laugh* No, you didn't kill anything. You brought out ideas, so hopefully, one of us can fulfill your request. (I can't quite yet due to severe time restraints, but someone else possibly can.) No, you didn't disregard etiquette at all. In fact, I'm glad you replied here, 'cause this thread was piling up some dust. Post it whenever you can, but keep the old one, too, so we can compare both versions.
  15. Hey, congrats on being a Mod! :D

  16. Well, this thread has been silent for a while… So let's get it back in business with a Horizon LED! I could do that. I just have to think which one. Hmmmmmm…
  17. This idea came into my head recently. The B32: A local route to compensate the Q24's and old B40's Broadway branches and the B12's and old B40's Liberty Avenue branches. This route would go from the Williamsberg Bridge Plaza to Sheridan Avenue in Cypress Hills. The route would go like this: Westbound: a. Leave the Sheridan Avenue terminal and head down Liberty Av. b. Turn on ENY Av. to B'way Jct. c. Turn on Broadway. d. Continue down Broadway to Bridge Plaza. Eastbound: a. Down Broadway to Broadway Junction. b. Turn on Pacific St. c. Turn on Sackman St. d. Turn on ENY Av. e. Turn on Liberty Av. f. Turn on Autumn Av. g. Turn on Glenmore Av. h. Turn on Sheridan Av. to its terminal.
  18. Creating another one. The M55: A Super SBS version of the combined M5/M6 (post-6/27; this fantasy version would have the M5 and M6 being pre-6/27). Downtown Stops: a. GW Bridge Terminal (W. 179th St.). b. 167th/B'way c. 156th/" d. 145th/" e. 137th (City College)/" f. 125th/" g. 72nd/" h. 65th/" i. Columbus Circle j. W. 59th/between 6th and 7th Avs. k. E. 56th St/5th l. 48th/" m. 41st/" n. 34th/" o. 22nd/" p. 13th/" q. 7th/B'way r. Houston/" s. Canal St./" t. City Hall & Park Place/" u. Wall St/" v. South Ferry (the M15 SBS Terminal) Uptown: a. South Ferry (the M15 SBS Terminal) b. Wall St/Trinity Place c. City Hall & Park Place/Church St. d. Canal St./" e. W. Houston/6th Av. f. 8th/" g. 14th/" h. 23rd/" i. 34th/" j. 42nd/" k. 49th/" l. 57th/" m. 66th/B'way n. 72nd/" o. 125th/" p. 135th/" q. 146th/" r. 156th/" s. 165th/" t. GW Bridge Terminal/" (Note: No stops from 125th to 72nd Street in both directions. Take the M104 or M5 LTD instead.)
  19. Another idea: 1. The M24: An SBS route that goes from 129th to South Ferry, borrowing the idea from Checkmate in another thread. This route combines the M20 and M104 as one route (their local counterparts remaining separate). How the stops would be is this: Downtown: a. 129th/Convent b. 125th/Convent c. 116th/B'way d. 106th/" e. 96th/" f. 86th/" g. 79th/" h. 72nd/" i. 66th/" j. Columbus Circle k. 57th/7th l. 49th/" m. 42nd/" n. 34th/" o. 23rd/" p. 14th/" q. 10th/7th Av S. (weekdays only) r. Prince St/Varick St. s. BMCC/Chambers St t. Battery Pk City/South End Av. u. South Ferry: The M15 SBS terminal Uptown: a. South Ferry: The M15 SBS terminal b. Battery Pk City/South End Av. c. Harrison St/BMCC d. Prince St/Hudson St e. 9th St/" (weekdays only) f. 14th St/8 Av g. 23rd/" h. 34th/" i. 42nd/" j. 50th/" k. 58th/" l. 65th/B'way m. 72nd/" n. 79th/" o. 86th/" p. 96th/" q. 106th/" r. 116th/" s. 125th/" t. 129th/Amsterdam Av. The route runs from 7:30 AM until 10:55 PM. Headways are ten minutes in the morning and afternoon rush hours, fifteen minues mid-day/early 'noon, and twenty minutes after the PM rush (8:15 PM onward). The route operates as a split from both Quill and Manhattanville. --- The revised Bx23: A loop that goes from Country Club all around Co-Op City and back again. It uses up the old Bx23 loop and is extended into the Country Club, occupying the Club routing of the Bx14. Its terminal is Research Avenue near Ampere Avenue. It'll run out of MTA Bus's Eastchester Depot with twenty-minute headways in the late-mornings/early-afternoons and fifteen minute ones in rush hour. Rush hours, the route splits up, with one loop going into Section 5 and the other going into Sections 1 through 4. Unlike the Bx23, this route is full-time: sixty-minute headways during the late nights and thirty minutes in the late evenings.
  20. Time to play further. ----- The M18: A revision of the old route. Instead of ending at 110th/5th Avenue, it ends at the M1's weekend terminal. Also, this bus will go up Morningside (like the M18's previous route) and onto Convent instead of twisting around Malcom X Mlvd, 116th, and Manhattan Avenue.
  21. We all know that. Many of our ideas are zany, crazy, ridiculous, and out of this world. And not one single (screw) was given. [/meme] Yes, this is a hybrid thread of both fantasy and realistic routes. But for the most part, this deals with fantasy routes, so we're not trying to make sense for the most part. As I'm still in a bus route-making mood again… --- The S34: A local route that travels from the Port Richmond Terminal to Howland Hook and Western Avenue. The route goes like this: 1. Down Pt. Richmond Av. turns on Forest Av 2. Down Forest Avenue, then heading down Goethals Rd. N. 3. Turns on Western Av to its last stop. The Eastbound route's the same, except going down Gulf Av. instead of Goethals.
  22. Happy New Year, KR! We miss you at the NYCTF. Get well soon!
