  1. What you mean? Oh BTW, 4 track isn't a thru track, there's nothing on the roadbed on the uptown side express side.
  2. There's some West End express action going down this weekend.
  3. At the moment, the only operable car wash in the INT/BMT is at CCY, and trains of all types and from all yards have gone up there to wash recently (from R32 all the way to R160, only thing not seen yet is a R62/A). The dispatcher dislikes when all these train operators go up there as many of them do not even know the yard (and wishes the one at the other end at least queries as to knowledge of CCY before sending their guys/gals up there to wash, purely on OT btw).
  4. I guess Ill get to meet some Transit Tech kiddies round 2:45 tomorrow @ Euclid...
  5. Well we know R32 was the first one out there, lol. I have yet to set foot south of the Belt since the storm.
  6. That's not difficult to do. It's not like those areas of chock full of history and foamers' delights.
  7. Two of the first three trains to Lefferts were R46...
  8. The was only 10 cars only when the R46 ran on it. TT Edit: Ill rephrase that - 600'
  9. Right now, with 207 still out of commission for regular work, Concourse is the spot for washes for a variety of equipment.
  10. The penalty job A LOT, the rookie ones good amount.
  11. Uptown 's skip the station when there's congestion at 145-LL over on the , and its fairly common, at least a couple times a week. And it is not for the umpteenth billioneth time, a battery run. There are two R42 trains on the , the line is shorter, and they barely layup anything after each rush hour (so just about everything runs all day, one of the reasons its breakdown rate was higher than normal before SMS and many spare pairs are kept); so its a much easier catch then trying to get the R42 last summer, even when there were three of them.
  12. Yes, the did in fact lose two trains to scrap, the ones that sat at 207 partially submerged.
  13. Many of the R32 are stored between 168 and 145 on both express tracks. I havent been to brooklyn lately so im not sure where the ones on the Brooklyn end went other than just south of Euclid Many of the R32 are stored between 168 and 145 on both express tracks. 14. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Before someone posts about that NYDN article about the loop station, what was suggested was recertifying the track as revenue track, allowing passengers to go around the loop again, but not stop at the loop and the station. This is so trains can go express into Brooklyn and the restored if things are ok above the junction (resembling normal IRT west service before the station opened). Also can resume generally a normal schedule with normal headways. No fantasy, please. Thank you for your time in reading this PSA.
  15. Before any of these fantasy ideas of how to reroute service assuming every terminal in lower Manhattan is operational, it is time right here to note that - the lower half of Manhattan remains without power, above and below ground - . No power = no pump rooms operational = no service. Yes there are pump trains but not for this level of disaster, that is for localized stuff mostly.
  16. The below Chambers might also be underwater in the area of Cortlant.
  17. Mind you, Clark tube is also flooded.
  18. I got one that's non-fiction! Due to a landfalling hurricane, all the underriver tubes to Brooklyn (14st/Rutgers/Cranberry/Montague/Clark/Joralemon) are flooded. Trains have been stored on all the express tracks around the system. Brighton line between Prospect Park and Atlantic have been used for layups. Have fun
  19. I'm off, and now the underriver tubes are completely flooded with 4-6 feet of water.
  20. No, they put trains wherever they can, as the yards (espeically CIY, Jam and Wes) must be evacuated. Since no service is running, there is no need to keep flexibility at Whitehall.
  21. Yup, the is indeed going to Flat (where's Wallyhorse when you need him?)
  22. Always wait for the at Sheepshead Bay. Also, there probably is more service running on a supplement at that time.
  23. There will be another public hearing in Parkchester for MNR service to Penn... I might show up.
