From what I hear an R68 did run on the today and a few R32s. Look for it tomorrow. Only comes out PM rush.

I was told an R68/A might pop up on the during the PM Rush. Not sure how true it is. Don't take my word for it (meaning don't waste your time by standing at one of the platforms for 3 hours). If it's true it will be there all pick.

Folks there is an LFS on the M1. 8024.
An LFS in Manhattan... How the hell did it get there.

9849 made it's last run today on the Q25. It's hard to imagine that I'll never ride one of those again.
(Now that's if it doesn't somehow come out Monday...)

9849 is so very not dead. Q65 this morning, Q25/Q34 this afternoon.
Yet no one believed me when I said that "this is probably not the last run for this bus" on last Friday's fantrip.
Now watch it run the Q53 tomorrow. Tomorrow is actually the last day since that's when the tanks expire.

But why does it matter though? The is fully local in Manhattan and Brooklyn anyway. I wouldn't care if the northbound announcements in Brooklyn (and southbound in the Bronx) says "This is a Manhattan-bound local train". It's just an announcement.
I've heard the say that.
Speaking of the , today I witnessed a sick customer at TSQ on the . A then appears on the downtown local track, of which I take to Penn Station and switch back to the express track. Behind that , a shows up with a on the local track. Pretty interesting sight.

As of now, the Orion V CNGs are retired from service
Nope. 9849 can still go out in the morning if they really need a bus (which they do since they are always short about 3 buses). It retires May 31.

This just in 1671-1680 Corona yard to Westchester yard.
Wow! Just saw this set yesterday. Of course something told me to snap a photo and I didn't listen.
I guess that means one of the converted sets will see service soon. Also any word on 7888-7898?

Just got off an R46 F with side LCDs as the M via Sea Beach and the rollsign as the . Got photos, up later.
I saw that train at West 4 Street and had everyone staring at me when I exclaimed "WTF?!?!!"
My only guess is someone broke into the cab and changed the sign...

Today there were a lot of R46 on the . The derailment set (5742-5743-5745-5744) is still between Queens Plaza and 36 Street. There is also an R46 in Concourse yard (6080).
Why is it that every time a new train model comes out, the railfans always praise the company who built the trains for "their" great design? Isn't it the designers within the customer's company that well, come up with the design?
Since the designers work for the company, they are part of the company so technically they did come up with the design. The general company itself may not have come up with it, but people who work for them did and they are the ones who built it.

Well, 6701 is off to the shops. Say goodbye to that blackback.
Damn. I was hoping they'd keep that bus in original condition and eventually save it for museum.

Today was the first time I took the Q100. I finally got to see what Rikers Island looks like.
Do they search you when you get off there?

2306-2310 is on the . Probably borrowed since they might be short. I haven't seen any 72xx in service as of late.

7881-7885 is in service. Saw it on a this morning. Not sure what it was linked up to.
Also 1961-1962-1963-1964-1965 are hooked up in consecutive order on the South end of a train. 1961 has a full cab. They are NOT linked but coupled.

Was it slower than usual or not?
Nope. T/O still went pretty fast.

Went over the derailment site on a Manhattan bound today (of course it was an R160). The tracks sound strange; it's like there are 6 separate third rail sections at that spot.
Also saw the R32 set that was on the . 3405 really does howl loud.

Deleted: Nevermind, its the coffee...
LOL.
Had a C40 pass me today, those buses are starting to sound better. The older the bus, the better it sounds.

All the R160's can support CBTC. They just have to install it. How do you think Queens Blvd CBTC is going to work?

Could you make Service Changes Docs./Posters? Possibly but it might be illegal?
Sure, as long as you don't print them out and post them in the subway.
Then again, people don't tend to pay attention to the signs anyway ↓↓
Passed by Fulton Street today, and saw about 20 people waiting for the .
"The next Manhattan bound J train will arrive in approxamently 1,911 minutes."

Updated, and I think I'm never gonna get an Orion V CNG pic, especially if today is the last day for 9849. Oh well, they were troopers for a long time, they've done their duty as buses and it's time to let them go.
Use one of mine. I have some pretty good photos of them. I'm posting a thread later.

Already posted about 9905 and 9899....
Didn't see the post. Like what was said, it's always good to have more than one source confirm it.

For those of you looking for 9849 on the Q65 this morning, it's not on the Q65 but on the Q38.
Passed this morning and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Today is it's last day BTW.

One of them is a 76xx, the other IDK. Probably from West Farms. BTW today is 9849's last day in service and it's on the Q38 as of when this was posted.

7887 is in service as I've seen it a few weeks ago. 7888-7898 I still haven't seen.
