Orion 7 NG in Bronx?

Gun Hill already recieved their allotment of NG's. Next up would be Kingsbridge. I recommend riding the '93 Orion V's before they go fast.

I see, but since the DL Fleets are hitting in on MJQs M42 (So far 1), does this mean orion 7 ng production is close to being done?

Uh, doesn't this belong in the NG thread?

Anyway, the NG order is about half done, with ~430 buses delivered out of the 850 bus order.

This is what's going on in the order currently. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

4170-4219 - Casey Stengel (3 buses left to be delivered)

4220-4244 - Flatbush (currently being delivered)

4245-4278 - Castleton (somehow has 1 newly delivered bus)

(numbering in the order jumps from 4278 to 4330)

4330-4407 - Kingsbridge

4408-4700 - Unknown at this point (the next batch right after 4407 will probably go to LGA or BP but who knows)

Gun Hill isn't getting any more NG's, they only have 3 more O5's that may need to be retired (though they are 94-96 O5's). Kingsbridge is getting 78 though.

yes but i may not get a response as lots of people dunno about Bronx (MTA) Services.. And my comment will just be ignored and posts will push my comment away. No offense.

But Thanks of course for that! What r the bus numbers and total at GH?

who knew. (MTA) did want to see Gun Hill depot recieve new

batch Orion7NG.? But i believe Gun Hill does ( i cant explain .

want to see if they get or do recieve newer bus ( they will

able to retire 1993 orion5. that they did. so if they recieve

#4450 -#4501? i believe they will able displaced the 1998 - 1999

orion5 send them to West Farms Depot. i belive some bronx

riders have enough see 1998 - 1999 Orion5 run in the bronx?

and anyway Gun Hill depot are shortage of buses. they at least

need second half Orion7NG #4450 - #4501 , so they will have enough

bus to put into service.

Gun Hill Depot have: 37 1998 - 1999 Orion5 bus , and 52 Orion7NG.

they still shortage bus. Gun hill depot put new flyer artic some bronx

bus route. that new flyer artic should run in that route. if they recieve

#4450 - #4501. Gun Hill depot will able to retire or displaced 1995 orion5 #672 - #675 and send them to (MTA) Bus. will displaced or keep

52 Orion7NG. while they need newer batch bus and displaced

older model fleet of 1993 -1998 orion5. ( i am guessing)

1995 orion5 at Gun Hill Depot need to be gone out. ( cany body expalin

Right now the only Orion V diesel's that are being phased out are the 1993 models. Once Kingsbridge gets their batch, you can see the 1993 Orion V's disappear fast.

A good amount of the 1995s are being retired (I don't see any of the KB 400-500s seeing service at another depot) because they were just as bad if not worse than the 93s.

I won't be surprised if the 200s out of KB are retired before the NGs start coming in, if CAS displaces the 6000s back to KB

I doubt Gun Hill will receive a new batch of NG's to displace the old ones. This was only done where Li-Ion battery NG's displaced Lead-Acid NG's to Manhattan. The only depot outside of Manhattan left with the lead-acid buses is Flatbush, which will get an order later (possibly right after the KB or (MTA) Bus order) to displace the 60 buses. Then there's rumors that Jamaica and Spring Creek will get them in the fall as well. It looks like we just have to wait it out.

Look at Castleton Depot they have 141 1998 - 1999 Orion5

bus. Castleton Depot should consider displacing 30 1998 - 1999

Orion5. ( 141 1998 - 1999 orion5 is too much for staten island riders.

(NYCT) should consider displacing 1999 orion5 at Castleton Depot

send them to Bronx . West Farms depot have 10 1993 orion5

that need to be retired. Castleton Depot should consider

dispalcing 10 1998 - 1999 Orion5 bus send them to West Farms

depot. so they will able to retire 1993 orion5. Jamaica Depot

should consider displacing 9 1996 - 1998 Nova bus (

Jamiaca Depot have 192 Nova Bus. ) why If jamaica Depot going to recieve

new Orion7NG. still they need to displaced the 1996 - 1998 NOva

Bus. ( castleton depot and jamaica depot need to consider displacing the

1998 orion5 and 1996 Nova Bus

I know KB is doing training, as I have seen the NG buses from Gun Hill being used to train KB drivers who I know. I seen them last week when I was on the (1). Those 1995 were worse than the 93s at KB. I can tell you that as a former KB driver who drove those rust buckets...........

What is with your obsession with West Farms Depot? They only have like 10-20 buses that need to be retired.
