MattTrain Posted November 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 15, 2009 I'm glad I'm not in this mess. That looks chaotic. I've had my share of issues already this year.
NX Express Posted November 15, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 15, 2009 Just curious, how do they turn at W4? Judging by track maps, the best thing to do would be to switch to exp at W4, terminate at Bway-Laff Brooklyn-bound exp track, use the switch west of there to switch to Manhattan-bound exp, then switch back to local after W4. Instead of all that, Reroute via the in the affected direction
nel070 Posted November 15, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 15, 2009 this weekend 179st trains are only running to jay street anyway so i guess with the switch problems they have just shorten the route to west 4th street and you transfer for the downstairs to go to jay street instead over creating more congestion of having the go over the track to jay st

pr1nyc1 Posted November 16, 2009 Share #13 Posted November 16, 2009 The was really bad this weekend. The past weekends where the stopped at Jay St. weren't as bad as this weekend. They even had the stopping at the Queens Express track, which stalled service as well. Hopefully the signal, or whichever, problems were going on at 2 Ave. are fixed. What made it even worse is that the motorman of the that I was on, stayed on the line through W 4 St, and ended up at 14 St & 8 Ave. Idk what happened after that cuz i got off there. bstar1 Posted November 18, 2009 Share #14 Posted November 18, 2009 One of the craziest G.O.s is before whenever they have via line, from W4 to Jay St in one direction. Then the opposite direction via line, from Jay St to W4. (Vice-versa)
