553 Bridgeton Posted November 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2009 Ok. This is not new. This has been the currrent set up since the 1st generation of announcements since Jessica Ettinger took over. This is how you can tell what train came from Flatbush Av or New Lots or Utica. There are 2 versions of the announcemens of announcements in the Bronx, actually 3 but anyways. (5)s from New Lots Av and Crown Hts upon entering the Bronx say "This is a Eastchester-Dyre Av bound Train" (5)s from Flatbush AV say "This is a Eastchester Bound Local Train" 3rd Version is for all (5)s thats run express in the Bronx "This is a Eastchester Bound Express Train" Or "This is a Neried Av bound Express Train" Now for downtown. (5)s going to Bowling Green say "This is a Manhattan Bound Train" (5)s going to Utica/New Lots/Flatbush All say "This is a Manhattan Bound Local/Express Train" You also have: this is a East 180th St bound 5 Local/express this is a 149th st-GC bound 5 train this is a Grand central bound 5 express train this is a Neried Av bound 5 Local train There are alot more.
