NX Express Posted February 3, 2010 Share #26 Posted February 3, 2010 I would think they would likely just terminate it at either Essex or 2nd Av so they don't have to run it above ground. IMO. Why? It would look cool above ground! But then again, I guess they don't want it exposed to the elements...BTW, where do they keep it?
Grand Concourse Posted February 3, 2010 Share #27 Posted February 3, 2010 They don't want to take a chance with the cold weather. Hey, I would love it if it ran above ground. Above ground shots are better for me than underground ones. Just like the W a few years ago in 2004. The Arnine only ran to 57/7th and didn't go up to Astoria. What do you mean? Like where do they store it before they run it? I think 207th St yard.
NX Express Posted February 3, 2010 Share #28 Posted February 3, 2010 They should run it for Thanksgiving!

cotb16 Posted February 4, 2010 Share #31 Posted February 4, 2010 Its no point in speculating, Its Obvious that they would have to use Some R32's for put-ins, This Line is going to have alot of ridership. Points where the Most Pick Ups would be at: 1.Metroplitan Av (reason Middle Village and the Metro Mall) 2.Myrtle-Wycoff Avs (reason Transit Hub and connection with the 3.Myrtle Ave (reason Connection with the (J)/(Z) trains 4.Flushing Ave( Reason Woodhaul Hospital) 5.Marcy Ave (reason Willamsburg and Willamsburg Plaza(Bus Transfers) 6.Essex St 7.West 4th st 8.Between 34th st and 23rd st Ely ave 9.Roosevelt ave Jackson Hits. 10.Woodhaven Bivd That's why you are going to need extra trains, 19 trainsets of R160's from the would not help, That's why they are going to trow some R32's in the mix. You also forgot to mention Steinway Street which has a shopping strip, a movie theater, and the Museum of the Moving Image.
Grand Concourse Posted February 4, 2010 Share #32 Posted February 4, 2010 They should make it extra fare (IDK, like a buck) Not practical. I don't like it either, but that is not necessary to run when they are in the red.
KTrainExp Posted February 4, 2010 Share #33 Posted February 4, 2010 They should make it extra fare (IDK, like a buck) Only 20 people would go on. Most of the people who are on that train are just regular riders trying to get home as fast as possible.
