Bx41 Wakefield Posted February 21, 2010 Author Share #27 Posted February 21, 2010 Nice pics and catch! Thanks! Nice pics, but to me, the stripe on the buses appears to be a waste, considering that it will be covered up when the bus enters service in NYC. The MTA needs to change the specs and have Nova Bus either wrap the buses for SBS at the plant, or have them delivered with no colors. I know, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it is cheaper for the to do it the current way.

Far Rock Depot Posted March 9, 2010 Share #30 Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks! I know, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it is cheaper for the to do it the current way. It probably is. ive read on some of the manufacturer's websites and brochures that a charge for each color is added. theres a couple of shades of blue in the SBS livery. Idk, I think putting the SBS wrap requires more labor and hours to put on than a blue stripe. There's also probably a specific company that does it downstate. RTS CNG Command Posted March 10, 2010 Share #32 Posted March 10, 2010 Yes. So far the buses I have seen are 1203, 1204, 1205, and 1208.1201's here, too. I saw it yesterday evening. Great catch, btw.
