MTR Admiralty Posted June 9, 2010 Share #76 Posted June 9, 2010 Bombardier could use some work right about now.But years ago the St Louis Car company was snatching up most of the orders except R32 and R46.So if you were this age back during that order, you would be cursing out St louis car.LOL. Didn't Bombardier have problems back then? But even so, that's back then.
SubwayGuy Posted June 9, 2010 Share #77 Posted June 9, 2010 21st century version of the R10s would be great. I just hope the cars are compatible with the R160s. Not possible. The best cars would be "back to basics" though. New technology is expensive and often unreliable.

With the R62A's, they had typical teething problems, but once these were worked out the cars have been among the best post R-22 type cars ever ordered for transit. I mean, recently, as of.. say 2002 or 2003. I remembered an article on it in the paper.
2 Train Master Posted June 12, 2010 Share #80 Posted June 12, 2010 I have a feeling these cars will retire the rest of the R42's,R44's and or even go to Staten Island.

Not sure about the SIR44s, though. However, the 46s could be bumped there too.
