w8Hou Posted July 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2010 It is Orion VII NG Hybrid #4346 involved with the accident. From NY1: An ambulance en route to an incident at a subway station collided with a city bus in Harlem today, injuring at least 15 people. Fire officials say the ambulance was responding to a call at Lexington Avenue and 125th Street when it was hit by a car and careened into a city bus at 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard and an SUV. The Transportation Authority says the bus involved was an M100, which travels from Inwood to East Harlem. Officials say six people have serious injuries, and another nine sustained minor injuries. The driver of the bus was transported to an area hospital with neck and back injuries. None of the injuries are considered life threatening. link: http://www.ny1.com/content/top_stories/121826/at-least-15-injured-when-ambulance--city-bus-collide-in-harlem There is a video report from NY1 has a view of the accident. 1010 WINS: Nineteen people were injured Friday morning when an ambulance and a city bus crashed in Upper Manhattan. Officials say the crash happened at the intersection of 125th Street and Seventh Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Six people suffered serious injuries and were transported to Harlem Hospital, according to EMS workers. Wtinesses say the ambulance was in the intersection picking up a patient when it was broadsided by an Acura. The radio was blaring so loud that the driver of the Acura most likely did not hear the sirens, witnesses say. The ambulance then swerved into oncoming traffic where it hit an M100 bus and a Ford Expedition. The cause of the crash is under investigation. link: http://www.1010wins.com/19-Hurt-In-Harlem-Crash/7654085

mark1447 Posted July 9, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2010 As always, 125th Street is a Traffic mall all over. It takes like 30min -45 min just to get from 8th Avenue to Lexington Avenue with so much traffic. And Yes it is true since im always around there. I can walk faster then the traffic and get from point a to b in 15min or less... A Lane is needed for the buses and traffic, because all these accidents will occur...
