Joe Posted September 8, 2010 Share #26 Posted September 8, 2010 Lol that's f**king 600 volts, no way you'd be able to come out of that normal as day! I know people who have gotten hit by 600V and are still alive and well.

Joe Posted September 8, 2010 Share #28 Posted September 8, 2010 Holy shit. Would it worry you if I told you that I deliberately shocked myself with 1000V? More than once.
INDman Posted September 8, 2010 Share #29 Posted September 8, 2010 Would it worry you if I told you that I deliberately shocked myself with 1000V? More than once. It worries me, but not because of health reasons.

Its not the voltage that will kill you, its the current. You can shock yourself all day long with 600+ volts like with a stun gun as long the current is in milliamps... Joe Posted September 8, 2010 Share #31 Posted September 8, 2010 Its not the voltage that will kill you, its the current. Ah-hah! At least someone paid attention in physics class. Up to a point, the current is what makes the difference between life and death. The device I was using was a megger, which outputs such an insignificant amount of current. pr1nyc1 Posted September 8, 2010 Share #32 Posted September 8, 2010 Is this the reason why they stopped service at Jay St from Manhattan? B/c at Jay St. the lady on the overhead said there was a police investigation at B'way Nassau.
Broadway Local Posted September 8, 2010 Share #33 Posted September 8, 2010 Is there like a real news that explains the whole thing that happens? Because I can't find it.
INDman Posted September 8, 2010 Share #34 Posted September 8, 2010 Is there like a real news that explains the whole thing that happens? Because I can't find it. Almost all service disruptions are NOT picked up by the news. They happen so often that it's really not news at all.
