Dan05979 Posted November 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2010 I was looking at my license, I hold a class 'A' with 'P' endorsment with many other endorsements and I have a restriction that reads; Passenger Restricted to class B, I didn't understand this restriction since I never seen a class A bus before so I did a search and that restriction applies for these guys; Does the MTA require you to have a 'Ap' to drive these or its just a 'Bp'? Olegkha Posted November 6, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 6, 2010 That restriction means that you took a road test on a passenger vehicle of a B class. You are not alowed to drive A class passenger vehicles ( we dont have 80,000 pounds passenger buses I have the same restriction I took road test on school bus as well as on an 18 wheeler

Dan05979 Posted November 6, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted November 6, 2010 Yeah but you can only have 1 CDL right? so did you fail theroad test with the 18 wheeler? I think what he means is the same thing I did. I took my B first in a school bus then a few years later I took the A, so I have that passenger restriction to class B vehicle. But there is no class A bus, unless they means those articulated buses wich are a combination vehicle. You only hold 1 cdl license.

No i did not fail, I had A ( truck ) then added Bp ( school bus ) So now i have A with P (with restriction to class carry people only in class B vehicle )
