Tracknut Posted July 17, 2007 #2 Posted July 17, 2007 Alright, now no restrictions. Now you can state your purpose - that you work for http://www.nyctransitforums.com and you want to take some photographs. After that, you tell them to disappear!
Harry Posted July 18, 2007 #4 Posted July 18, 2007 After that, you tell them to disappear! Pretty stern there. It is good news for the train buffs. Anyone can take better photographs when their cool, calm and collective.
PVincent342 Posted September 10, 2007 #5 Posted September 10, 2007 YEAHHHH , even tough i never had a permit anyway but then yet again , my local station was on Amtrak Property
sebbieprops Posted September 11, 2007 #6 Posted September 11, 2007 Good news for train fans. It was a ridiculous regulation in the first place, if you ask me.
DHayward Posted September 12, 2007 Author #7 Posted September 12, 2007 The staggering amount of students, railfanners and photographers that wrote in actually got the policy changed. And the MBTA is real strict on their policies. (And licensing. They only let a few companies use their logos and stuff. Kato was only able to produce so many HO Scale coaches and F40PHs under license.)
Dedos Posted September 12, 2007 #8 Posted September 12, 2007 I remember taking pictures of the sculptures by Tom Otterness by 14th Street in Manhattan and getting stopped by police. I will be sure to take some good photos and post them soon. I'll also try to find the ones that I took already to post.
