moocher Posted February 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2011 Greetings all, and Happy New Decade: I'm chiming in from California with a question I have not been able to answer. After driving a bus for 4 years now, after driving limos and vans, I'm using paddles every shift without knowing the real meaning or origins of the term "paddle". Can anyone enlighten me on where the term comes from? Is it an old railroad term? Does it come from initials standing for something? It's just strange using a term without knowing why. Thanks very much, and I'm looking forward to looking around your Forum.
