Trainspotter 0 Posted June 12, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2008 New Firefox Web browser to be released Tuesday A new version of the Firefox Web browser is scheduled for release Tuesday with improvements in security, speed and design. Many of the enhancements in Firefox 3 involve bookmarks. The new version lets Web surfers add keywords, or tags, to sort bookmarks by topic. A new “Places” feature lets users quickly access sites they recently bookmarked or tagged and pages they visit frequently but haven't bookmarked. There's also a new star button for easily adding sites to your bookmark list — similar to what's already available on Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer 7 browser. Other new features include the ability to resume downloads midway if the connection is interrupted and an updated password manager that doesn't disrupt the log-in process. R32 3348 11 Posted June 15, 2008 Share #5 Posted June 15, 2008 What star...? BTW I'm using it now, it's pretty good although I'm not used to retyping in URLs since they get replaced by other websites that you visited.

TransitGuy 1 Posted June 18, 2008 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2008 Wow I like the look of the new Firefox. It looks pretty sleek. The star can been seen right after the URL, its a white star w/ black outline so it really doesn't have much similarity to the IE7 one. Has anyone put any addons or plugins? R32 3348 11 Posted June 18, 2008 Share #8 Posted June 18, 2008 I got the google toolbar once they got a new add-on compatible with FF3, since my old one wasn't compatible. How does a Google application not work with Firefox? Isn't Firefox UNDER Google?
