NEXT: all BMT lines in Brooklyn are unusable south of Atlantic Av. Atlantic Av station can be used. RULES: no trains can exit service to go to yards located in unusable areas, which means that some routes cannot be suspended/have their TPH reduced. The yards can still be used for storage; trains just can't access them.

(B): Service suspended.

(D): Trains run in 2 sections.

1. Between Norwood-205th St & 2nd Av (D) Station via 8th Av (C) Local

2. Between Whitehall St (R) and Coney Island.

(F): Trains rerouted on (E) between Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av and World Trade Center (via 8th Av (E) Local) Trains remains express in Queens.

(S): Single shuttle operation on Northbound local track only between 23rd St & Grand St and 42nd St-Bryant Park and 7th Av-53rd St.

 

PATH trains service rerouted to Hoboken or World Trade Center.

There will be single shuttle train operation on PATH Train between 33rd St & Journal Sq on northbound track.

Free Shuttle Buses will operate on 6th Av in northbound direction and southbound on 7th Av between West 23rd St & 42nd St.

 

 

The (N), (Q), and (R) also have to be rerouted.

I don't mean to continue the argument, and I know I am the one who always says no hatin on the scenarios, but how on Earth can 1 crackhead wipe out the (B)(D)(F)(M)(N)(Q)(R) and the damn PATH? I don't need a reply to this.

I think you misunderstood my post; ALL BMT lines south of Atlantic can't be used:

The one problem is that the Culver Line from Ditmas Av to Coney Island is a BMT line.

NEW SCENARIO: 34th Street collapses b/w Herald Square & 9th Avenue in 2015. Reroute the (A), (C), (E), (1), (2), (3), (7), (N), (Q), (R), (B), (D), (F), (M), NJT, and LIRR...

 

I know, streets do not simply collapse... think of your own reason, and good luck! You'll need it.

 

More irrational scenarios are allowed, as this is a dire situations. Do NOT reroute all LIRR trains to Jamaica, as through trains are still running to LIC & Atlantic Terminal.

The ONLY way to loop through Coney Island is by having it single track for a considerable amount, and COMPLETELY screw over the (D) and (N) trains. Coney Island was built as a terminal; not as a loopty loop for you to have fun with.

 

 

Under normal circumstances, yes, but ALL of this is with the premise that in an emergency, you do what you can to keep service as normal as possible, even if it means in this case for example having the (B) go through Coney Island via the (Q) and then alternating between the (D) and (N) to minimize disruptions on that end. It's all about maximizing service in a situation like that.

The ONLY way to loop through Coney Island is by having it single track for a considerable amount, and COMPLETELY screw over the (D) and (N) trains. Coney Island was built as a terminal; not as a loopty loop for you to have fun with.

 

 

If trains from the (Q) to the (N) go via Track 1 (the east-most track) and trains from the (N) to the (Q) go via Track 4 (the west (Q) track) this would work, with the only consequence that (N) and (Q) trains only have one track to terminate (I wouldn't call that 'completely screw over'.

 

In fact, that's how it worked when the (N) was through-routed via Coney Island for a few weekends in 2006.

Yes, that's the only possible loop through Coney Island, but it would be much better (and much smarter) to just terminate all trains at Coney Island and force people to switch. But the solution that calls for running trains up either the (D) or (N) then it would completely mess up.

M11 Southbound: Turn left at 42nd St, turn right at 5th Av, turn right at 31st St, turn left at 9th Av, regular route.

M11 Northbound: Turn right at 30th St, turn left at Madison Av, turn left at 42nd St, turn right at 10th Av, regular route.

Eastbound: Turn left at 10th Av, turn right at 42nd St, turn right at 5th Av, turn left at 34th St, regular route.

Northbound: From stand, take first stop at Madison Av/34th St, turn left at 42nd St, turn right at 6th Av, regular route.

 

 

LIRR: No Connection are made doing this time.

All Port Washington trains terminate at Long Island City. Reduce to every hour off-peak during this time.

Long Beach, Far Rockaway and Hempstead train terminate at Atlantic Terminal.

Port Jefferson train terminates at Woodside.

All Oyster Bay, Montauk and Babylon trains terminate at Jamaica.

 

New Jersey Transit:

Amtrak: All trains via Hudson River tracks will be rerouted to Grand Central with Metro-North assistant.

 

NYC Airporter: NY Penn Station drop off and pickup will be made on 31st St/8th Av only.

PATH Train: 33rd St-Journal Sq train suspended. Extra service on Newark-World Trade Center which will run via Hoboken.

 

New York Waterway

Due to horror movie make at following cemeteries following subway service will be affected.

Washington Cemetery at Bay Parkway Station cannot be passed and Woodlawn Subway Station.

In addition, Junius St station collasped on Livonia Av Stations.

Also in addition, runaway tortoise has been crossing on train tracks at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge which means trains cannot pass between Howard Beach and the Broad Channel.

Affects (3)(4)(F)(L) train.

(4) Select southbound trains terminate at Bowling Green. No trains between Mosholu Pkwy and Woodlawn.

(A) No trains between Howard Beach and Broad Channel.

(F) No trains between 18 Av and Kings Hwy. Every other train runs via the (D) line from West 4 St to Coney Island.

(L) No trains between B'way Junction and Canarsie.

^38 tph through 63 St would work really well...

 

(R) No trains between Whitehall St and 59 St.

(Q) No trains between Prospect Park and 34 St.

(B) Trains run via the (D) in both directions between West 4 St and Coney Island.
