'89 Liberty MCI Posted July 9, 2008 Share #4 Posted July 9, 2008 1995 Orion 05.501 Diesel Suburban. Units 611-630. They're exactly the same as the other Orion Vs except with soft padded carpet (not leather) seats. They're used mainly on the X32 and Q32 but show up on other local routes out of Stengel frequently. 611-630 are all Stengel buses which were originally Castleton buses, used on express routes down there before the MCI D-series came. Q43 Floral Park Posted July 9, 2008 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2008 For whatever reason, One of the X51 runs is interlined with a local run so if the B/O doesn't make it back to CS whatever bus he had goes into service on the X51. And it's usually an O7. Now here's a question: What's going to happen to 611-630 if they go ahead and scrap the X32 in September? That's the only route that would need Suburban O5's at CS. They should put those on the X90 when they retire the 1993 Orion V's. I rode the X90 last week and the seats in those buses are in bad shape. I rode the X90 last week and the seats in those buses are in bad shape. Apparently, the X90 is getting MCI's because 1959-60 are at MJQ. So there won't be any routes left that absoulutely need the Suburban O5's.
